Guide individual fundraisers and development staff by providing recommendations for potential major donors for cultivation and solicitation. Analyze data to help drive prospect discovery and prioritize the top prospective donors for qualification by development staff. Create lists on an ad-hoc basis as requested by prospect development team members or fundraising partner to support fundraising initiatives by incorporating the use of database segmentation analysis, external resources, electronic screenings, and peer-review/focus group results. Assist in managing pipeline and goal reporting for the campaign and ensure progress toward annual goals is documented and continually updated for major, principal, and capital fundraising outcomes in close collaboration with fundraising staff. Collaborate with various teams across the division to gather input for refining prospect portfolios. Contribute to the division's focus on improving fundraising performance through effective portfolio optimization. Job Summary | The Director of Real Estate directs all activities associated with land management/leases; real estate revenue activities; building and land acquisition/sales; building and land appraisals; all Rensselaer property-related tax payments; Rensselaer tax exemption requirements; and special activities, that include leases and subleases of external facilities, fraternity/sorority land/building leases and finances; estate activities and community issues. The Director is responsible for leading real estate and economic development programs to attract diverse and innovative partners to engage on properties owned by the Institution both residential and commercial, inclusive of properties at Rensselaer Technology Park (RTP). This will comprise extensive collaboration with multiple portfolios including the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation (OSAT), Provost, Student Life, OCEC, and Finance. The Director is responsible to develop programs to attract and maintain tenant occupants of RTP and create a self-funded real estate program. Programs that cultivate community and regional relationships and foster an exchange of ideas between community leaders, industry partners, researchers and students. The Director is responsible for all fiscal management of the RTP and real estate program including operating and capital budget development and financial controls to achieve goals. |

Job Summary | The Network Security Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and oversight for complex, enterprise-wide services including the design, development and maintenance of campus security network infrastructure. Job Summary | The Administrative Specialist serves as the primary point of contact in the Office of the President for visitors and callers and is responsible for ensuring that all parties receive prompt, professional and courteous attention when contacting the President’s Office. The Administrative Specialist may independently respond to inquiries, assist the visitor/caller on appropriate next steps, or direct to the appropriate person or department. Job Summary | The Department of Cognitive Science in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applicants for a non-tenure track position in the Psychological Science program starting in Fall 2024. Experience in undergraduate-level teaching is strongly preferred. We seek a scholar who will collaborate with departmental colleagues to expand course offerings and research in areas including introductory courses, behavioral neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, sensation and perception, abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, and learning. The Cognitive Science Department offers B.S. undergraduate programs in Psychological Science, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy, and M.S. and Ph.D. graduate programs in Cognitive Science. |
Qualifications | Applicants must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in psychology or a closely related field at the time of appointment. Candidates must also possess evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. Job Summary | The Dean of Students, reporting to the Vice Provost for Student Experience, ensures a dynamic living and learning environment that contributes to students’ intellectual agility, multicultural sophistication, and global view. Director of Accommodative Services
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular Full-Time
Supervisor: Director of Counseling Center
Position Purpose: Leads the Accommodative Services Office at Union College, providing strategic direction and overseeing day-to-day operations to support students with disabilities. Sets department goals, establishes organizational structures, develops policies and procedures, educates stakeholders, and supervises staff to ensure effective delivery of services. Advocates for students with disabilities, determines and coordinates accommodations, and promotes inclusivity within the campus community.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Leadership and Program Management: Oversees the Accommodative Services Office, establishing goals, crafting policies, and guaranteeing adherence to pertinent legislation such as Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Guides and supports the Assistant Director, Testing Coordinator, and a cohort of Peer Mentors to deliver inclusive assistance to students with disabilities. Handles the annual budget for the department.
- Reviewing Documentation and Assigning Accommodations: Examines and updates medical, psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and pertinent documentation. Identifies and enacts appropriate accommodations mandated by law. Chairs the Committee on Special Housing to assess and decide on special housing requests, including assigning single housing units and emotional support animals.
- Student Support and Advocacy: Collaborates with students to evaluate their requirements, coordinates accommodations, and devises initiatives to meet their needs. Champions students’ rights and enlightens the campus community about disability-related matters. Works closely with campus departments to facilitate accommodations for temporary disabilities, medical needs, housing, and mental health.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Engages with faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members to advise on disability services, legal rights, and accommodations. Collaborates with college attorneys, consultants, deans, and faculty to address concerns and ensure compliance. Supports students in study abroad programs and graduate school applications by providing required paperwork and ensuring their needs are accommodated.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychology, education, student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field is required.
- Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years of leadership experience in developing, coordinating, and managing disability-related services, preferably within a higher education setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and practice concerning disabilities, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the ADA Amendments (ADAAA) of 2008, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Understanding of physical, cognitive, and emotional/mental impairments.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret psychological assessments, disability documentation, and diagnostic testing and determine appropriate reasonable accommodations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to advocate for students and engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply institutional goals and objectives to decision-making processes.
- Able to exercise exceptional judgment and problem-solving skills, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.
- Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $80,000.00-$90,000.00. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary | The Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute invites applications for a faculty position in Game Development to begin Fall 2024, to teach courses in game design, development, and production. Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor of Practice, with a multi-year, renewable contract. |
Minimum Qualifications | Applicants must possess an MFA, PhD, or foreign equivalent in Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Evidence of effective teaching, and the ability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement. They will demonstrate proficiency in one or more game engines, along with a robust background in project management and production processes within the gaming industry. Additionally, candidates must exhibit a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. For appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also have attained a significant level of scholarly activity, research output, or individual creative practice. A Professor of Practice has obtained unique professional experience, has distinguished research, and/or has performed at an executive or officer level, and has made a significant impact within the field of games. A Professor of Practice is expected to have substantial leadership experience of at least (10-15 years) and generally a national or international reputation for excellence in their field of expertise.
