Supervisor: Director Of Enterprise Systems & Networking, Information Technology Services
Position Purpose:The Systems Administrator reports to the Director of Enterprise Systems and is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, operations and security of the enterprise administrative and academic information systems, including physical and virtual server infrastructure, various on-premises and cloud-based applications, endpoint deployment and management platforms, and monitoring and disaster recovery utilities. The position is expected to provide system provisioning and maintenance in a manner that is consistent with College’s goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
System Administration: Manages, maintains, and secures Union’s physical and virtual computing infrastructure and application services. Installs and configures servers, operating systems, and both on-premises and cloud-based applications. Implements security measures to protect institutional data and prevent unauthorized access. Manages user accounts and access rights in accordance with privacy, security, and compliance best practices. Maintains endpoint deployment platforms, automated system jobs, and disaster recovery systems. Assists team members with technical issues and works with vendors to resolve problems and determine equipment requirements.
System Deployment and Maintenance: Supports deployments, upgrades, and migrations to maintain stable and secure environments. Participates in assessing requirements, applying patches, and implementing configuration changes. Assists in evaluating new technologies that enhance system reliability, efficiency, and security.
Security and Compliance: Applies secure system configuration, patching, and access controls to protect institutional infrastructure. Monitors system activity to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. Ensures compliance with institutional policies and supports disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation.
Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Develops and maintains operational and procedural documentation related to enterprise systems. Contributes to emergency procedures and identifies opportunities to automate or improve system administration tasks.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Processes service requests and resolves escalated incidents efficiently. Diagnoses and addresses issues affecting hardware, operating systems, and application services. Performs root cause analysis and collaborates with ITS staff and vendors to prevent recurrence and minimize disruption.
Collaboration: Works and partners with all members of the ITS department to be responsive to the needs of users and to work on projects as needed. Shares expertise with colleagues and communicates effectively with users, technical staff, and vendors to ensure reliable service delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Science or related field and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
3 years systems management experience in production grade server environments preferred.
Working knowledge of server virtualization technologies (i.e. VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, etc.).
Experience managing Active Directory or other LDAP based services.
Proficiency in task automation scripting technologies (i.e., PowerShell, Unix Shell, etc.).
Experience with Endpoint deployment and management services.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Experience in a service-oriented environment.
Ability to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learningcommunity of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow colleagues.
Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position is $78,000-80,000.Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Description
As a Residential Assistant Supervisor, you will supervise staff who provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing body standards and requirements. You will report to the Residential Supervisor and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plans
- Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.
- Work shifts on the unit as assigned, which could include variable shifts (several days and several evenings each week)
- Work as one of the staff within the staff-to-youth ratio on the unit
- Work as a role model for newer, less experienced staff
- Maintain records
- Participate in the training of residential staff
- Seek out training opportunities for all staff relevant to the work on the unit
- Participate in residential staff meetings
- Understand and apply the general framework and expected outcomes of the various treatment models used with the youth,
- Maintain safety and an environment that supports youth to be safe and make progress on the unit
- Make the unit a family-friendly place, where family members feel welcome and activities are planned that include family members. Teach, and then ensure, that staff persons treat family members with respect and listen to their concerns, document them, and pass them on to the appropriate clinician and administrator.
- Teach and ensure all staff members treat all youth, family members, collaterals, neighbors, and the general public with respect and dignity at all times. Everyone should be spoken to in a calm, rational voice, without rancor.
- Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the units
- Develop and maintain schedules within the assigned campus residential unit
- Help evaluate youth referred to the Agency for residential care
- Participate in the appropriate on call system
- Participate in the financial responsibilities of the residential unit following established guidelines
- Participate in and organize program and agency wide special events and services
- Oversee and transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs
- Work with clinical staff to coordinate the implementation of treatment plans in the milieu
- Assist in crisis intervention
Requirements and Education:
- Requires an Associate’s degree plus three years of experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR HS plus at least five years of experience required.
- Related experience with vulnerable populations and older adolescent population is required.
- Must have supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to manage a residential unit.
- Required to maintain TCI certification.
- A valid driver’s license and meet agency insurability standards for using agency vehicles and transporting youth.
- Must pass physical.
