As a Clinician, you will coordinate client assessments and work with the child, family, legal guardian, law guardian, psychiatrist, nurse, psychologist, educators, child care staff, and other providers to prepare, implement and monitor a comprehensive, permanency-focused case plan for children in the Residential Program. You will report to the Director of the Residential Treatment Facility and will work on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the direct treatment providers to establish treatment goals for children, utilizing historical and current available information.
• Meet and communicate with biological families, guardians, foster families, and case workers.
• Assess individual and family situations.
• Identify problem areas, treatment goals and methods to attain goals.
• Provide therapeutic services to children on at least a weekly basis and families on at least a bi-weekly basis using differential treatment modalities.
• Work with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan and to monitor ongoing progress of child and family.
• Learn and practice case coordination skills.
• Work with referring and collateral agencies and prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
• Record and maintain case record in accord with Agency, OMH, and other state mandates.
• Participate in intake assessments as assigned.
• Diligently plan for discharge/permanency, at the time of admission.
• Actively communicate with clients and customers through phone and email correspondence.
• Ensure quality oversight and improvement services.

Requirements and Education:

• Requires a Master’s degree; related experience preferred.
• RTF Clinician requires two years of related experience.
• Professional licensure preferred: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
• Must pass physical.
• Must be able to complete TCI training.

SATRI provides curriculum design, development and training to internal professionals as well as those individuals served by external contracts executed by the Institute. As a Clinician in the Intensive Aftercare Prevention program, you will provide six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for troubled children, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. You will report to the Program Coordinator and you will work a combination of on-site and remote with travel to client's homes required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide home and community-based assessment, planning and treatment with individuals, groups and families with those enrolled in our Family Preservation services (the level of intensity / number of direct services hours per family is dependent upon the services in which one is employed)
• Complete necessary all records and client information following agency, county, and state policy and funding requirements
• Provide liaison contact with collateral resources such as referring agencies, schools, family court, and other agency personnel serving on behalf of a child and family as it relates to their treatment
• Responsible for the clinical decisions when assigned and paired to work as a team with a Bachelors Clinical Case Manager.
• Ensure provisions of regular treatment plan meetings and services plan reviews.

• Requires a Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field
• Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience.

As a Service Navigator, you will provide individual mentoring, holistic service planning, and coordinated case management, and complete any necessary referrals/linkages to services. You will work together with Albany County Probation. You will coordinate, facilitate, and track the issuing of cash incentives that will be provided to youth as part of their service plan. You will maintain record-keeping for each youth, including progress notes and service plans. You will provide direct mentoring and case management to each youth and family on their caseload. You will report to the Assistant Director of Juvenile Justice for Prevention and will work a hybrid schedule with 50% community travel.

• Manage a full caseload of probation-involved youth.
• Attend routine team meetings with youth and families and Albany County Probation.

• Track youth involvement in the program and issue incentive stipends as directed by the supervisor. Maintain monitored records of funds issued.

• Complete and maintain appropriate case records through the completion of intake, assessments, progress notes, uniform case records, reports, etc. following agency, county, and state policy and funding requirements.
• Participate in the comprehensive assessment and creation of the treatment plan for assigned cases to determine and address service needs and ensure the provision of regular treatment plan meetings and service plan reviews.
• Provide liaison contact with collateral resources such as referring agencies, schools, family courts, and other agency personnel serving on behalf of a child and family as it relates to their treatment.
• You will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements and Education:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field;
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families;
• Home and community-based experience is a plus.

As a Residential Assistant Supervisor, you will supervise staff who provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing body standards and requirements. You will report to the Residential Supervisor and you will work onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise program activity which will lead to the attainment of goals described within treatment plans
• Supervise and evaluate the work of residential staff assigned to residential programs.
• Work shifts on the unit as assigned, which could include variable shifts (several days and several evenings each week)

• Make the unit a family-friendly place, where family members feel welcome and activities are planned that include family members. Teach, and then ensure, that staff persons treat family members with respect and listen to their concerns, document them, and pass them on to the appropriate clinician and administrator.
• Teach and ensure all staff members treat all youth, family members, collaterals, neighbors, and the general public with respect and dignity at all times. Everyone should be spoken to in a calm, rational voice, without rancor.
• Maintain the physical order of the building and therapeutic environment of the units
• Develop and maintain schedules within the assigned campus residential unit
• Help evaluate youth referred to the Agency for residential care
• Participate in the appropriate on call system
• Participate in the financial responsibilities of the residential unit following established guidelines
• Participate in and organize program and agency wide special events and services
• Oversee and transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs
• Work with clinical staff to coordinate the implementation of treatment plans in the milieu
• Assist in crisis intervention

Requirements and Education:

• Requires an Associate’s degree plus three years of experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR HS plus at least five years of experience required.
• Related experience with vulnerable populations and older adolescent population is required.
• Must have supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to manage a residential unit.
• Required to maintain TCI certification.
• A valid driver’s license and meet agency insurability standards for using agency vehicles and transporting youth.
• Must pass physical.
