As a Community Service Provider, you will provide home and community-based services to help children with emotional and mental health challenges. You will travel locally to work with children and families in their communities providing a core of rehabilitative services to ensure success, including non-licensed counseling and support for youth and family, skill building, peer support, caregiver support and advocacy, pre-vocational services and respite. You will report to a Community Service Provider Supervisor, and work onsite within the community, as travel is required and documentation may be completed remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Provide services within a Family-driven Care framework, including respecting family choice and voice, believing in each family’s potential to learn and grow, and utilizing strategies that empower families
- Work with family members to identify goals and objectives of treatment
- Provide services based on the needs as identified in the Treatment Plan
- Coordinate with the child and caregiver on the scheduling and provision of services
- Participate in relevant treatment meetings and attend all required trainings
- Complete all documentation
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of related experience OR

- Valid NYS Driver's License required

Residential Youth Counselor
Starting Rate for this role is $20/hour

As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
1:1 Residential Counselor
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

Per Diem Clinician/Social Worker - Mobile Crisis
Location: Schenectady, NY or Queensbury, NY
Day, Evening, and Weekend Shifts available
As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance and support. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).

Custodian - Team Leader
Position purpose: Oversees the custodial staff and ensures that assigned campus facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. - Communication and Collaboration: Communicates effectively with the Supervisor of Building Maintenance and other staff members about cleaning schedules, and needs. Resolves any custodian related concerns promptly. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
- Operations: Monitors and manages inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Executes special cleaning tasks as requested, beyond routine daily cleaning duties. Stays informed about standards for the use, handling, and disposal of cleaning chemicals. Supports the work request system's administrative functions related to cleaning tasks.
- Administration: Processes monthly requests for cleaning supplies. Approves bi-weekly time sheets for all applicable custodians. Attends seminars and other courses of study designed to improve job performance. Complies with departmental and college policies and procedures. Schedules all vacation and absence time off for their team. Schedules appropriate staffing for major events such as ReUnion, Commencement, Trustees, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of custodial experience. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience within a custodial environment is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Thorough knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper handling, and disposal procedures.
- Must have a valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, and bending, as well as the capability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

As a Children's Health Home Care Manager, you will engage youth and families through outreach activities until enrollment into the Children's Health Home program. You will coordinate and monitor subsequent services to meet the needs of your members. You will report to a program supervisor, working in a hybrid model. As a Director of ACT, you will have the opportunity to significantly improve the lives of adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness that seriously impairs their functioning in the community. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team that provides services and support to adults living in the community Your duties include the management of the program, staff matters, client referrals, program manual, and program systems. ACT is a program that provides services through less traditional service delivery methods. This is very much a "meet the client in their community" approach. You will report to the Chief Officer of Crisis Response Service and work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall supervision to the team and is responsible for allocation of staff time
- Ensure all team members are kept informed of issues involving participants and their families
- Monitor caseload size and coordinates program intakes and discharges
- Facilitate, organize, and document daily team meetings
- Provide training and supervision for the Staff
- Make rotating on-call schedule for after hours / weekend coverage by team members
- Provide after hour and weekend telephonic backup for on-call staff
- Educate the community about Assertive Community Treatment (ACT); philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background

- Engage in safety planning and wellness management planning with participants
- Connect participants and families with the services and supports they need
- Provide psychoeducation regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment
- Develop and modify treatment using a shared decision-making process with clients

Position Purpose: Oversees and directs the operations, vision, and programs for Greek life at Union College by facilitating an environment where members of the Greek community can be challenged and supported in their personal growth, efforts, and experiences. Serves as a trusted advisor to students. - Greek Community Development & Engagement: Creates a vibrant, welcoming, and inclusive environment for Greek organizations. Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $60,000.00 - $62,000.00. As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will be providing crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance and support. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).

Behavior and Campus Support Worker
You will ensure the security of campus and community residential locations, including working with staff, maintaining communication with resident’s family and guardians, and overseeing resident transportation needs. You will report to the Online/Oncall supervisor and you will work on-site.

- Ensure contacts have been made with the residents family and guardian for all significant incidents.
- Maintain regular entries in the Online/On call log regarding all significant events that occur, and provide the leadership with specific additional information as. Ensure completion of documentation for all significant incidents.
- Ensure significant incidents are called into the Justice Center as applicable.
- Serve as the central person in charge of off campus trips. Approve and log all off-campus trips and assure such trips have proper staff coverage.
- Oversee and transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
- Check and assure that all visitors have prior approval to be on the grounds.
- Be available to hear and document any neighbor concerns.
