As a Digital Marketing and Multimedia Content Specialist, you will create impactful multimedia content that amplifies our mission and engages diverse audiences across digital platforms. We're looking for a creative thinker with strong technical skills and a passion for storytelling to drive our marketing efforts. You will report to the Marketing Manager and will work in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Create and publish eye-catching content for use on social media platforms, our website, and traditional media
- Use content creation tools such as the Adobe Create Suite and Canva to create original and engaging content.
- Work with the Advancement Team to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive web traffic, and support fundraising initiatives.
- Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos at events, programs, and other initiatives.
- Write clear and compelling copy for multimedia content, ensuring consistency in messaging and brand voice.
- Collaborate on email marketing campaigns, designing visually appealing layouts and content.
- Manage and organize our multimedia content library, ensuring easy access and proper documentation of assets.
- Create and pitch new content ideas aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal staff to align content strategies with organizational objectives.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in multimedia content creation and storytelling.
Requirements and Education:
- An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in social media management, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across major platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools to monitor performance metrics.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is preferred.
- You will be asked to provide examples of proficiency in graphic design, video editing, photography, and writing skills.

Director of Advancement Information Services
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Supervisor: Vice President for College Relations
Position Purpose: Plays a pivotal role within the College Relations department, responsible for overseeing the efficient utilization and maintenance of the constituent management system. Provides leadership in system implementations, conversions, and upgrades, ensuring seamless operations to support fundraising and engagement efforts. Leads a team dedicated to data governance and advancement services, contributing to the strategic alignment and success of College Relations (CR).
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reporting and Analytics: Designs and implements a robust structure for data analytics, dashboards, and reporting. Facilitates informed decision-making. Ensures data integrity while identifying donor trends. Collaborates with the Director of Operations on prospect management metrics. Facilitates accurate and timely completion of external surveys.
- Software Management and Innovation: Serves as the steward of the division’s customer relationship management system (CRM), overseeing its effective utilization. Serves as the project manager for the anticipated CRM migration starting in fiscal year 2024-2025. Develops comprehensive training materials, workshops, and documentation to empower divisional staff in maximizing the CRM's capabilities and fostering innovation in advancement practices.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Ensures strict adherence to fundraising regulations, policies, and best practices to uphold the accuracy, integrity, and security of constituent data. Manages gift, pledge, and receipt processes in compliance with internal revenue service, financial accounting standards regulations, payment card industry security council, the council for advancement and support of education guidelines, and auditors' requirements.
- Strategic Alignment: Acts as the primary liaison for College Relations with Finance and Information Technology Services (ITS) to foster collaboration and ensure strategic alignment. Including working closely with Finance on aligning financial reporting periods, fund reconciliations, review of gift processes and controls, and auditing schedules, and working with ITS to ensure CR systems operate effectively and met all data security requirements and ensure
- Staff Management: Promotes a culture of excellence, teamwork, and collaboration among staff, providing clear direction, setting priorities, and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth. Establishes and monitors well-defined, measurable goals for each team member, offering guidance, support, and professional development resources to enhance their effectiveness and achieve organizational objectives.
- Budgeting: Prepares a fiscal year budget in partnership with the Office of the VP for College Relations. Reviews and approves expenditures, consulting with Finance and other authorities as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of progressive experience in higher education advancement, with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. An Advanced degree in information management, data science, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in system administration, networking, relational databases, programming, and documentation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred expertise with Ellucian by Colleague and Salesforce technology, preferably including experience with CRM migration projects.
- Exceptional leadership, judgment, and decision-making skills, with a proven ability to introduce and drive innovation in ways large and small through effective project management.
- Able to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.
- Dedication to philanthropic support of higher education and alignment with the values and mission of the institution.

Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $100,000 - $115,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for an ITS Asset Manager. This position plays a key role in the Central Business Office, which serves as an organizational hub for all finance, operations, and administration within ITS. The Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistics and asset management process ITS directs on behalf of the University, including the institution's new AI+ initiative. They work with a variety of service teams and campus stakeholders to ensure that all assets are received, stored, recorded, and tracked accurately and in a timely manner.
The successful candidate is extremely organized, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment and getting out of the office to visit various locations across campus for equipment deliveries and receiving/disposing of assets. They have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with campus partners. The Asset Manager works closely with others to understand the nuances and complexities associated with all aspects of managing university assets. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, solution-oriented thinker who is invested in developing the expertise to recommend and facilitate clear, creative paths to assist ITS in successfully managing and maintaining assets on behalf of a diverse, dynamic R1 institution.
A key member of the Central Business Office, the Asset Manager conducts their work with a high degree of integrity and a customer service mindset. They are adept at managing multiple priorities, recommending process improvements, and are equally comfortable working under limited supervision or as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assume primary responsibility for all asset logistics, including receiving and managing equipment and managing the physical spaces where assets are stored.
- Serve concurrently on multiple project teams, planning and managing the logistics of having the right equipment in stock, available in optimal staging areas, and accessible to the appropriate deployment staff.
- Consult and advise ITS staff on all aspects of the asset management lifecycle, from receiving and tracking through secure disposal.
- Manage all aspects of the asset management process and make recommendations to facilitate the creation, development, improvement, and retirement of tools and procedures as needed.
- Develop a holistic view of ITS assets across the organization and make recommendations to ensure efficient, effective purchasing decisions.
- Keep abreast of evolving asset management rules and regulations, informing ITS staff of changes as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide support and/or assist with Central Business Office activities as needed.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Lift/handle equipment, up to 50 lbs., on occasion.
- Be available to provide scheduled support and consultation outside normal business hours, including occasional evenings, holidays, or weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Two years of professional experience in asset management, inventory control, shipping/receiving activities, or related field.
