Residential Youth Counselor
Starting Rate for this role is $20.00/hour
A valid, clean driver's license is required
$1,500 Sign on Bonus for Full-time
**will be1/3 in the pay period following 30 days of employment, 1/3 will be paid at 6 months and the remainder will be paid following 1 year of employment, provided you are still fulltime**
As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
1:1 Residential Counselor
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers, including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

All of the above plus the following:
You will facilitate groups/coached visitation, understanding and applying curriculum and appropriate practice models, i.e. DBT, SAY, etc.
Take on specific leadership responsibilities for dorm/cottage, including coordinating activities, participating in program-wide committee.
Must have the ability, skill, and knowledge to take a lead role in a team.
Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.
RC3
All of the above plus the following:
Display critical thinking and problem solving skills related to residential program needs.
Display good judgment and decision making related to all program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Lead, delegate, and plan work for other team members.
Requirements and Education:
HS Diploma or GED is required.
Experience working with emotionally disturbed population.
NYS drivers license with less than 6 points on license.

The Infrastructure Automation Engineer collaborates across ITS, providing input and expertise to a range of services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational ownership for assigned AI/ML platforms including patching, upgrading, configuration management, system backups, continuous monitoring, and performance management.
- Design and implement automated solutions for hardware and software infrastructure.

The Specialist plays a critical role in supporting all University desktop and mobile computing endpoints (Windows, macOS, iOS, and Linux) with expertise in Apple operating systems. The successful candidate has the knowledge and skills to provide guidance and oversight for the enterprise management of university devices, with a particular focus on macOS and iOS devices. The Specialist works on service and project teams in support of the University's research, teaching and learning, information security, and infrastructure services. They develop and rely on tools and processes for the enterprise management of all University workstations and devices, including the deployment of operating systems, applications, and patches, secure and reliable operations, and maintaining an accurate device inventory. As the ITS subject matter expert for Apple operating systems, they recommend standards, guidelines, and procedures to enhance and improve service delivery for the management of macOS and iOS devices on behalf of the campus community. ITS may further invest in this position by supporting professional development activities, such as earning certifications, to advance expertise in relevant areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
Specialist in Apple Operating Systems (macOS, iOS) and Endpoints
- Serve as ITS' subject matter expert in Apple operating systems and devices.
- Implement, operate, and maintain Apple OS and software distribution using appropriate enterprise management tools (i.e., Jamf).
- Employ best practices to automate the configuration and management of Apple endpoints and support MacOS across a range of versions.
- Develop and maintain tools and procedures to include and update all University-owned Apple devices in the asset inventory.

General Desktop and Mobile Computing Support

- Use enterprise management tools and develop scripts to remotely configure, support, and maintain all University desktops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Work within service teams to resolve service desk incidents and service requests in accordance with ITS' service management and project management processes and workflows.
- Serve as a point of escalation for Field Support Specialists; deploying to the field, as needed.
- Develop and maintain both customer-facing knowledgebase articles and ITS-internal documentation, taking the lead on information related to Apple and Mac endpoints.
- Consider, develop, recommend, and implement operational work and service improvements.
- Stay abreast of industry practices and tools for enterprise management of endpoints.

Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Computer Deployment Specialist to support a campus-wide project to replace all non-Windows 11 compatible computers by Fall 2025. This is a large project with a tight timeline. Faculty, staff, conference room, classroom, and research lab computers will be replaced.
The successful candidate will be assigned to the Field Support (FSG) Deployment Group, which will work as a specialized team to deploy all new computers quickly and efficiently. The FSG Deployment Group will support the preparation and deployment/installation of new computers, including installing software, setting up peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), and removing and securely disposing of old computers. The FSG Deployment Group will deploy computers across three campus locations as appointments and rooms are scheduled with faculty and staff.
This position reports to the FSG Deployment Group Supervisor. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively under challenging circumstances. They must also be able to complete work within scheduled time constraints. Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications is required. Lifeguard – Albany or Schenectady, NY
Starting rate is $20 per hour!Ideal seasonal position with flexible schedule from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. Daytime and early evening hours on weekdays and/or weekends.
As a Lifeguard, you will provide rescue and lifesaving services, teach water safety and swim instruction to children and adolescents in program during the summer months, and help maintain our pools for optimal health and safety. School Based Clinician

You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers,including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC2
All of the above plus the following:
You will facilitate groups/coached visitation, understanding and applying curriculum and appropriate practice models, i.e. DBT, SAY, etc.
Take on specific leadership responsibilities for dorm/cottage, including coordinating activities, participating in program-wide committee.
Must have the ability, skill, and knowledge to take a lead role in a team.
Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.
RC3
All of the above plus the following:
Display critical thinking and problem solving skills related to residential program needs.
Display good judgment and decision making related to all program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Lead, delegate, and plan work for other team members.
Requirements and Education:
HS Diploma/GED required.
Experience working with emotionally disturbed population.
A valid, clean driver's license is required.
Must pass physical.
Must be able to complete TCI training.
RC 1
Experience with emotionally disturbed population is preferred.
RC 2
At least six months of related experience is required with demonstrated competency in Level 1 essential job duties. One year of related experience is desired.
RC 3
At least one year of related experience is required with demonstrated competency in Level 2 essential job responsibilities. Two years or more related experience is desired.
