Job Summary | The Sr. Human Resources Specialist for Title IX and Employee Relations will provide consultation, investigation, and resolution of employee relations and Title IX/Sexual Misconduct complaints and will create and maintain appropriate documentation including logs of case activity and provide detailed and summary reports as required. Athletic Communications Assistant
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Part-time. This is a ten month term position.
Supervisor: Director of Athletic Communications
Position Purpose: Assists the Athletic Communications Director and Assistant Athletic Communications Director with the promoting and publicizing of athletic events, teams, and athletes to enhance the organization's brand and engage with fans, media, and the public.
This is ten month term position. Compensation includes an hourly rate plus college housing and a residential meal allowance which includes a partial meal plan available for use when the dining halls are open during the fall, winter, and spring trimesters.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Content Creation: Creates engaging and compelling multimedia content, such as videos, graphics, and photos, to enhance storytelling and promote the organization. Produces written content for various communication channels, including websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and publications. Collaborates with designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality content.
- Social Media Management: Develops and implements social media strategies to increase engagement, followership, and brand awareness. Monitors social media platforms, responds to comments and messages, and manages online reputation. Analyzes social media metrics and generates reports to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Strategy: Develops and implements strategic communication plans to promote athletic events, teams, and athletes. Identifies target audiences and creates tailored messaging and content to effectively reach them. Coordinates with internal stakeholders, such as coaches, athletes, and administrators, to gather information and stories for communication purposes.
- Team Development and Innovation: Contributes ideas, input, and support to Union Athletics initiatives, decisions, communications, and other activities. Seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of communications trends and innovations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field and experience working in a collegiate Athletic Communications and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of sports, athletics, and industry trends.
- Proficiency in digital and social media platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.

- Knowledge of NCAA Live Stats and/or Presto Stats software.
- Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite and experience creating and generating new media and video content.

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $15.50. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to the hourly rate, compensation includes college housing and a student meal plan.

Assistant Athletic Trainer
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time. This is a 12 month position.
Supervisor: Head Athletic Trainer/Student-Athlete Program Director
Position Purpose: Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer supports the athletic department by providing care to student-athletes including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I. The College is committed to excellence in academics and athletics, diversity and a well-balanced, broad based intercollegiate athletics program dedicated to the concept of the student-athlete.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Treatment: Develop and implement injury prevention programs. Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary. Evaluate and diagnose athletic injuries. Design and monitor rehabilitation programs for injured student athletes. Provides therapeutic treatment such as taping, bracing, and modalities.
- Communication and Collaboration: Educate student athletes on care and prevention of athletic injuries. Provide guidance on proper conditioning techniques. Communicate effectively with coaches and student athletes about injury status and progress. Coordinates with physicians and healthcare providers as needed.
- Administration: Provides support with the daily operations of the athletic training room and assists with the supervision of work study students. Electronic medical record keeping of athletic injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field required. Master’s degree and experience with National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) regulations and compliance knowledge preferred.
- National Athletic Trainers Association certified and in good standing with the Board of Certification (BOC) for athletic trainers.
- First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and Automated External Defibrillator certifications required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- Physical requirements: Ability to engage in various physical activities, which may include lifting items of different weights of 25 pounds and more, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to travel when necessary.
- Must be a licensed athletic trainer in New York State or eligible for licensing in the state of New York.
- A valid United States driver's license or eligibility for licensing is required.
- Strong computer skills and an understanding of electronic medical record keeping.

The annual salary range this position is $48,000.00-$52,000.00. Job Summary | The Assistant Director (AD) of Student Activities is responsible for planning, facilitating and assisting in the coordination of student club programs on campus. The incumbent will develop programs working with clubs and other campus departments focusing on diversity and inclusion, community involvement/engagement, student leadership and operations as an advocate for student clubs. The AD will work with the staff to develop opportunities for servant leadership growth and development. The AD will work in collaboration with Union/Mueller Center staff, campus colleagues, and student clubs to oversee the operation of the Clubhouse Pub under the guidance of the Director and Associate Director of Student Activities. The AD manages fiscal planning and reconciliation of student activities fees associated with club events and other programs and will assist with club operations and other services required to facilitate a student activities program. |

Job Summary | The Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Nuclear Engineering (MANE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Mechanical Engineering. Applications will be considered at the Assistant or early Associate Professor levels. We welcome candidates that will bring additional dimensions to MANE’s research and teaching mission. We are especially interested in applicants working in the area of robotics. Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. Job Summary | The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor position in Materials Science and Engineering with expertise and potential in the broad area of bulk/thin film metallic materials. Example research foci and applications include nanoelectronics device wiring, packaging and integration, energy generation (e.g., nuclear, thermoelectric, wind, solar) and storage (e.g., batteries, supercapacitors), light-weight high-strength structures, alloy design, microstructure development, additive manufacturing, and environmental degradation. We will also consider exceptional candidates from other related areas. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field.
