As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming for elementary aged children according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) Residential Counselors work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
1:1 Residential Counselor
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Seek and obtain training in any particular area specific to the youth who requires 1:1care.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC1
You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers,including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

All of the above plus the following:
You will facilitate groups/coached visitation, understanding and applying curriculum and appropriate practice models, i.e. DBT, SAY, etc.
Take on specific leadership responsibilities for dorm/cottage, including coordinating activities, participating in program-wide committee.
Must have the ability, skill, and knowledge to take a lead role in a team.
Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.

All of the above plus the following:
Display critical thinking and problem solving skills related to residential program needs.

Clinician, IAPP
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7500 signing bonus!
As a Clinician in the Intensive Aftercare Prevention (IAPP) program, you will provide six to nine months of intensive services to families whose children are either at risk of being removed from their homes or are already in placement. The goals of the program are to prevent out-of-home placement for troubled children, provide a safe environment to return children already in placement, and prevent future out-of-home placement. You will report to the Program Coordinator and you will work a combination of on-site and remote with travel to client's homes required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide home and community-based assessment, planning and treatment with individuals, groups and families with those enrolled in our Family Preservation services (the level of intensity / number of direct services hours per family is dependent upon the services in which one is employed)
- Complete necessary all records and client information following agency, county, and state policy and funding requirements
- Provide liaison contact with collateral resources such as referring agencies, schools, family court, and other agency personnel serving on behalf of a child and family as it relates to their treatment
- Responsible for the clinical decisions when assigned and paired to work as a team with a Bachelors Clinical Case Manager.
- Ensure provisions of regular treatment plan meetings and services plan reviews.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires a Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field
- Minimum of one year of post-graduate experience.
- License Preferred: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT
- Must have a valid drivers license.

Job Summary | The Production Coordinator will plan and coordinate production operations (stage, audio, video, IT) for assigned projects that come into the EMPAC facility. The Production Coordinator will have extensive communications and interaction with internal and external customers in order to plan events. Job Overview
Per Diem Clinician/Social Worker - Mobile Crisis
Location: Schenectady, NY or Queensbury, NY
Day, Evening, and Weekend Shifts available
As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization and interventions, de-escalation techniques and follow-up services to the identified client experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric crises. These interventions, provided by telephone and on-site mobile visits, will be implemented using a strength-based, trauma-informed, systems-oriented perspective and will include the development of crisis prevention and safety plans; follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of plans; coordination of services with existing treatment providers; and linkage to additional community-based therapeutic resources and supports. You will directly report to the Clinical Site Supervisors with Director and Executive Program Director guidance and support. You will work on-site with travel to the community and individuals' homes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families, who are in crisis, experiencing an emotional or behavioral disturbance by phone and on-site within the community, and as assigned, participate in acute care emergency services rotation system designed to facilitate and strengthen community-based crisis intervention services. This includes rotation of schedule to provide coverage during holidays and weekends.
- Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.
- Analyze information to identify action plan, which includes crisis stabilization plan, safety, and crisis prevention plans, and plan for follow-up. Consult with team and supervisors.
- Coordinate with community resources for collateral input and follow-up care, including referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment.
- Provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the home or community (wherever the individual is experiencing a crisis).
Requirements and Education:
- Looking for applicants with their LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R licensure
- Requires a Masters' degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience
- Must have a valid NYS Drivers License and be willing and able to drive to clients' homes and communities under a variety of circumstances and weather conditions. As a Director of ACT, you will have the opportunity to significantly improve the lives of adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness that seriously impairs their functioning in the community. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team that provides services and support to adults living in the community Your duties include the management of the program, staff matters, client referrals, program manual, and program systems. You will promote the agency's commitment to excellence in the provision of mental health services that are strength-based, recovery-oriented, shared decision-making process, along with culturally competent and sensitive. ACT is a program that provides services through less traditional service delivery methods. This is very much a "meet the client in their community" approach. You will report to the Chief Officer of Crisis Response Service and work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall supervision to the team and is responsible for allocation of staff time
- Ensure all team members are kept informed of issues involving participants and their families
- Monitor caseload size and coordinates program intakes and discharges
- Facilitate, organize, and document daily team meetings
- Provide training and supervision for the Staff
- Make rotating on-call schedule for after hours / weekend coverage by team members
- Provide after hour and weekend telephonic backup for on-call staff
- Educate the community about Assertive Community Treatment (ACT); philosophy, program outcomes, theoretical background
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other agencies, schools, colleges, institutions, hospitals, primary care providers, housing authorities, and law enforcement agencies to help meet the needs of this population so they can achieve and maintain their independence
- Ensure staff are adhering to the fidelity of the program
- Participate in all required trainings as directed by funding source and ensure that staff are also in compliance with all funding source training
- Be a primary clinician for a subset of program participants. In this role of Primary Clinician, the Team Leader will:
- Be a point person for the participant and their family
- Conduct needs assessments
- Engage in safety planning and wellness management planning with participants
- Connect participants and families with the services and supports they need
- Provide psychoeducation regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment
- Develop and modify treatment using a shared decision-making process with clients
Requirements and Education:
- A Master’s degree and license in a helping profession- Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Creative Arts Therapy, etc.
- At least two years of progressively responsible related experience.
