Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Systems and Database Management: Acts as the primary point of contact for user inquiries related to database usage and third-party products. Conducts routine database maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting for technology issues, ensuring optimal system performance. Leads regular reviews of systems and AIS processes to identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and implement best practices. Manages all aspects of 3rd party relationships, including data integration, transfer protocols, transmission schedules, evaluations, and system troubleshooting.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Develops and disseminates reports and information to College Relations as well as campus partners, ensuring data integrity and compliance with College policies, IRS regulations, and industry best practices. Provides guidance and quality control for data production, collaboratively improving procedures for efficiency. Oversees data distribution for external purposes, such as reporting for Annual Giving and Major Gift peer groups. Works with stakeholders to assess reporting needs, develops reports and visualizations, and monitors adoption of reporting strategies.
Collaboration and Staff Development: Contributes to team initiatives, projects, communications, and implementations, helping to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Trains, mentors, and motivates AIS staff in utilizing new technologies and systems effectively. Leads application training and internal documentation development to support all College Relations personnel. Facilitates coordination with campus partners such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Finance, and Athletics to address data gaps and manage data requests effectively. Participates in execution of College Relations events and contributes to campus initiatives and priorities as opportunities arise.
Innovation: Understands business needs and identifies creative solutions using appropriate technology and analytical skills. Drives continuous improvement initiatives, advocating for data-driven decision-making and change. Contributes to the development and execution of an annual strategic plan for Advancement Information Services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, information systems and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or 3-5 years work experience preferred.
Detailed knowledge of best practices for advancement operations and development programs is preferred.
Previous experience working in higher education is preferred.
Flexible in the face of challenges and able to advocate for change.
Experience in supervising teams or departments, with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively.
Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities with the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and demonstrate outstanding professionalism in a range of situations.

Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $61,000-$70,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty and training. Job Summary | The Director of Marketing and Community Engagement manages the Institution's athletic marketing programs and collaborates with Institutional staff on annual signature events (i.e. Homecoming & Reunion, Family Weekend, etc.). Event Development Coordinator
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Regular full-time
Supervisor: Director of Special Events and Conferences
Position Purpose:Develops revenue streams by planning, organizing, and executing successful events, meetings, and conferences at Union College, with the greatest attention to outstanding customer service. Customer Service and Communication:Provides excellent customer service to clients, and event attendees, ensuring that they have a positive experience and their needs are met. Communicates event details to all stakeholders, including staff, vendors, and attendees, verifying that all parties have the necessary information.
Relationship Building and Marketing: Maintains existing clients to increase repeat business opportunities. Cultivates new clients by marketing conference services to external organizations. Manages department web pages and social media presence. Develops responses to proposals and estimates and follows up appropriately on all proposals.
Team Development, Innovation, & Supervision: Contributes ideas, input, and support to Union Special Events and Conference and other activities that impact the success of the department. Seeks out, applies, and shares knowledge of special events logistics, trends, and innovations.
Administrative:Responsible for accounts payable for event vendors and accounts receivable for client invoices. Administers contract cycle (create, negotiate, approve, execute), develops program plans, monthly and quarterly reports and forecasts. Generates reports on profitability of potential events for discussion with the Director of Events and Central Scheduling. Offers to help colleagues during busy times and for overlapping responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event/business management, or a related field and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or 3-5 years of related work experience.
Previous customer service experience, preferably in the events industry. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact with varied constituencies.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Ability to move between buildings and walk for extended periods.
Technically proficient and experienced in working with systems and applications. These include software platforms for scheduling, space planning and logistics through software tools.

The Program in Religious Studies at Union College seeks to make a tenure-track appointment at the level of Assistant Professor in the area of Religion and Science. The appointee is expected to offer courses in religious studies, including in various aspects of religion and science, for the Religious Studies program, and also selected courses in philosophy for the Philosophy Department. It is also expected that the appointee’s teaching will support the General Education program (https://www.union.edu/general-education). There is an expectation that the appointee would support the work of the Templeton Institute at Union (https://www.union.edu/templeton) and take advantage of research and outreach opportunities afforded them there.
Applicants should have strong grounding in science and in religious studies, as well as hold a PhD in religious studies, philosophy, history, STEM, or other relevant field that interconnects science and the academic study of religion. Candidates who are ABD and will complete their degree by September, 2026 are welcome to apply. Demonstrated experience in teaching across science, philosophy and religion is highly valued, as is evidence of building institutional connections between religious studies and science. The Religious Studies program is particularly interested in candidates who work in the area of AI and spirituality. Union College recognizes the rich possibilities of interdisciplinary studies and sees this position as exemplifying the complementarity of humanistic and scientific education. Applicants should address how they would promote connections between religious studies and science at Union. Teaching load is 2 courses per 10-week trimester, 6 courses per academic year, with a one-course reduction in the first year. About the Religious Studies Program:
Religious Studies at Union is an Interdisciplinary Program with two tenured faculty and it is further supported by colleagues who teach and research aspects of the academic study of religion in the departments of Anthropology, Art History, Classics, Economics, English, History, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science, and Sociology. Attend staff meetings and other scheduled meetings as directed by the Director.
Assume relief duties of Campus Safety Officers and Control Officers as needed.
Administrative duties, such as interviewing, hiring, scheduling, and approving timecards.
In the absence of the Director, assume an advisory role on the President’s Safety and Security Committee.
Participate in new employee and student orientation sessions as requested.
Supervise students in the Student Escort Program.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.
Crime Prevention and Community Engagement
Develop and implement campus-wide training and educational materials to promote safety and compliance.
Conduct crime evaluations and analyses to identify trends and recommend preventative measures.
Establish the department’s priority crime prevention programs.
Act as the Department’s Public Relations Officer; representing the department in community outreach efforts, communicating safety information, building trust, and promoting the department’s public image.
Review and advise on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) initiatives.
Conduct security surveys and audits to identify areas for improvement.
Security and Patrol
Conduct inspections of campus lighting and telephone systems to ensure functionality and safety.
Prepare inspection and repair reports for the Director.
Collaborate with the Facilities Department to review campus plans.
Ensure all assigned officers perform their duties according to department policy and procedures.
Emergency Management and Response
Assist in developing emergency management programs, response plans, and training exercises.
Ensure readiness and coordination during emergency situations in collaboration with campus departments and local agencies.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred; comparable experience or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Valid NYS driver’s license.
Current NYS Security Guard registration required.
Valid NYS Public Safety Officer certification preferred, but not required.
Completion of supervisor training within the first year of employment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk and stand for extended periods, and climb stairs.
Flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed.
Demonstrated conscientiousness related to safety and ability to follow procedures.
Ability to exercise exceptional judgment, ensure strict confidentiality, and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism – in a range of situations.

Compensation:
The hourly range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00 per hour. Job Summary | The Student Services Coordinator serves in the Office of Undergraduate Student Services, located in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering. The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities relating to the recruitment of new undergraduate students to the department, the retention and satisfaction of current students, and support of accreditation assessment activities. In addition, the Coordinator will be the first student-facing individual addressing general inquiries and questions for MANE students and faculty and is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for the School of Engineering and MANE. The Coordinator reports to the Senior Student Services Administrator. The Coordinator is expected to work independently and as part of a team of student-focused service providers. |
