Job Summary | The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative support for Associate Vice President Public Safety & Emergency Management and oversees the day to day operations for the Department of Public Safety. The Administrative Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external constituencies, assists and represents the Associate Vice President in communicating with constituents, and handles multiple issues and concerns as they arise. Job Summary | The Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Institute Advancement’s advancement operations teams. The incumbent for this position will provide employment services to assist individuals who are searching for career opportunities, or may be looking for support in their current roles.
- Supports the development and customization of resumes, cover letters, and thank you letters.
- Work with participants to develop and hone interviewing skills (including disclosing disabilities and discussing accommodations if applicable) with employers. Develop a placement or job-searching plan in accordance with the participant’s vocational interests and abilities.
- Assess and assists participants with any needed job-seeking skills including, but not limited to, locating employment opportunities and supporting them to complete job applications. When possible, this role will provide individuals with interview and general presentation feedback gained from prospective employers. Offer skills development coaching as needed.
- Networking with employers
- Finding out transportation options (if they don't drive).
- Writing case notes daily and complete monthly reports
- After the individual has successfully found employment, the ES trains them on how to complete their job tasks, get acclimated at their job, and any additional training.
- Maintain a safe environment for the Golden Club participants and work with them to develop independent living skills such as cooking, crafting, and socialization as well as assist in transportation as needed.
- Develop a monthly recreation calendar and news letter for the Golden Club and develop a weekly supply list so to obtain and pick up donations.
- Work with the team to plan activities, weekly outings and find social activities in the community.
- Networking within the community and communicate with other providers to ensure the best interest of each member.

- Must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth
- Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served
- Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines
- Display basic competency in TCI techniques
- Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols
- Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line on call, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff
- Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers, including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
- Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards
- Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs
- HS Diploma/GED; Associates degree preferred
- Experience working with emotionally disturbed population
- NYS drivers license
