Description
As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
1:1 Residential Counselor
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Seek and obtain training in any particular area specific to the youth who requires 1:1care.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC1
You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers,including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

All of the above plus the following:
You will facilitate groups/coached visitation, understanding and applying curriculum and appropriate practice models, i.e. DBT, SAY, etc.
Take on specific leadership responsibilities for dorm/cottage, including coordinating activities, participating in program-wide committee.
Must have the ability, skill, and knowledge to take a lead role in a team.
Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.

All of the above plus the following:
Display critical thinking and problem solving skills related to residential program needs.
Display good judgment and decision making related to all program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Lead, delegate, and plan work for other team members.
Requirements and Education:
HS Diploma/GED required.
Experience working with emotionally disturbed population.
A valid, clean driver's license is required.
Must pass physical.
Must be able to complete TCI training.

At least six months of related experience is required with demonstrated competency in Level 1 essential job duties. One year of related experience is desired.

The History Department at Union College invites applications for a one-year visiting appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor with an emphasis on US History. Compensation
The annual salary range this position is $67,000 - $69,000. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time. This is an 12-month position. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Supervisor: Chief Information Officer
Position Purpose: Manages the Client Services and Learning Environments team, handling both personnel and financial aspects. Leads support for students, faculty, and staff by evaluating technical issues and collaborating with ITS (Information Technology Services) peers to implement effective solutions. Directly oversees Tier 1 and Tier 2 Client Services teams (including ITS Help Desk and Learning Environments), managing training, staffing, and performance assessment. Additionally, responsible for the equipment lifecycle replacement workflow, encompassing standards definition, procurement, setup, and distribution.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Team Management and Leadership: Recruits, manages, trains, and mentors Client Services and Learning Environments teams. Evaluates team performance and develops and implements processes for improvement. Manages assigned ITS resources for implementation and support.
- Strategic Planning and Developments: Directs projects to analyze and recommend new technologies. Contributes to ITS management team for standards and policies development. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of complex computing environments and emerging technologies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Fosters knowledge-sharing and open communication within ITS groups. Communicates and collaborates with students, faculty, and staff, for technology solutions. Represents the college in conferences, seminars, and professional organizations related to user support and technology use. Provides oversight for training and user education programs.
- Equipment Procurement and Vendor Relations: Strategically plans and executes procurement for A/V, computer hardware, and peripherals, ensuring efficient acquisitions. Maintains vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms and service agreements within budget constraints. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify needs, assess technology, and provide informed purchasing recommendations. Manages inventory, optimizing stock to support client services efficiently. Oversees evaluation of new products aligning with department goals and user needs.
- Event Support and Logistics: Works with the Assistant Director of Learning Environments to ensure responsive and high quality support for electronic classrooms and events being held on the Union College campus, including Zoom webinars. Provides oversight of work with departments to configure/install audio visual (AV) equipment needed in conference rooms or labs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Business Administration, and a minimum of 5 years of successful management experience in a service-oriented technology environment, and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in Windows and Apple client hardware and operating systems.
- Proven experience implementing performance metrics for operational analysis and decision-making purposes.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
- Demonstrated experience with IT service management, including overseeing a help desk ticketing system; experience with TeamDynamix preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills adaptable to diverse student, faculty, and staff clientele.
- Proven ability in strategic planning and organizational skills; experience in project management is a plus.

Job Summary | The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. Description
As a Case Manager, Regional Permanency Resource Center you will provide supportive services and case management services to adoptive, guardianship and kinship families so they are able to make informed decisions with regards to services and supports that best meet their needs. You will report to the Case Manager Supervisor. You will work in a hybrid environment with some travel to client's homes in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Function as a systems navigator to families who have adopted or who have children in guardianship or kinship care through the provision of case management.
- Meet with families in their home to assess needs
- Assess needs, conduct service planning, service plan implementation, service coordination, monitoring and follow-up, reassessment and review with the family via in-home or community monthly visits. Services include but are not limited to information and referral services; referral to legal services; attendance at family court dates; transportation; housing assistance; childcare; basic family needs (vital needs in emergencies and with expenses that are unforeseen); educational advocacy services; and facilitating appointments with social services, medical health providers, and mental health services.
- Respond to the request for in home support referrals for resources and services
- Provide crisis intervention supports when needed
- Work with family to access needed respite services
- Conduct follow up contacts with families at prescribed intervals
- Participate in family engagement activities
- Co-lead support groups
- Participate in training programs offered by the program as assigned
- Use lived experience to empathize and provide hope. Preference for someone with experience with kinship, adoption or guardianship as a youth or in a parenting role.
- Maintain records including required data collection information according to the program standards and expectations. Case Managers must maintain Evolv record with progress notes and all pertinent documentation, a discharge summary and post-case closure documentation.
- Participate as a trainer in programs in the community, to increase understanding of the needs of families who have adopted or have children in guardianship or kinship care
- Complete risk assessments as required by Northern Rivers Quality Management Department
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s level degree in social work, psychology, or human services, or a bachelor’s level degree in any field with at least two years of case management experience; or an associate’s level degree in psychology or human services with at least two years of case management experience.

Job Summary | The Assistant Director (AD) of Student Activities is responsible for planning, facilitating and assisting in the coordination of student club programs on campus. The incumbent will develop programs working with clubs and other campus departments focusing on diversity and inclusion, community involvement/engagement, student leadership and operations as an advocate for student clubs. The AD will work with the staff to develop opportunities for servant leadership growth and development. The AD will work in collaboration with Union/Mueller Center staff, campus colleagues, and student clubs to oversee the operation of the Clubhouse Pub under the guidance of the Director and Associate Director of Student Activities. The AD manages fiscal planning and reconciliation of student activities fees associated with club events and other programs and will assist with club operations and other services required to facilitate a student activities program. |

Job Summary | The Operations Specialist provides operational support for, oversees the day-to-day operations of, and serves as the first point of contact for the office of International Services for Students and Scholars (ISSS), and provides secondary support to the Office of International Programs (OIP). The Specialist also provides triage of student immigration issues and handles multiple issues and concerns as they arise from students, staff, faculty, administrative offices and, on occasion, parents and families. |

Job Summary | The HVAC/r & Building Maintenance Technician will perform diversified duties for general building maintenance including carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and painting. HVAC-r responsibilities include repair, maintenance and installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, chilled water, compressed air, heating and ventilation systems and associated controls. Participates in on-call rotation in accordance with standard operating procedures. |
