Job Summary | The Senior Prospect Research Analyst conducts in-depth data analysis and research, evaluates and summarizes financial information, and prepares reports and briefings for principal and major gift officers and senior leadership. The Analyst identifies high-level prospects and donors, creates detailed dossiers, and directs division-wide staff to maintain accurate, up-to-date records. Additionally, the analyst takes part in strategy development plans related to key prospects. The Analyst assists in onboarding and/or training of staff and works with Institute Advancement’s (IA) research analysts to review deliverables, provide feedback to ensure accuracy and uniformity of content. |

The Industrial and Systems Engineering Department (ISE, http://www.ise.rpi.edu) offers degrees at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. ISE has a rich history of addressing important societal challenges since 1933. The ISE Department has been highly interdisciplinary, with faculty employing methods from optimization, mathematics, statistics, cognitive science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to model, analyze, and solve complex decision-making problems in highly networked natural and social systems, with applications to critical infrastructure, homeland security, on-demand supply chains, and team performance. This work has been supported by numerous federal, state, and foundation awards. The ISE curricula draw directly on cutting-edge research results and pedagogical innovations, and benefit from ongoing collaborations with other Rensselaer departments, most recently in the department’s new institute-wide minor in Data Science and Engineering. Job Summary | The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE in Troy, NY, is amid a planned multi-year renewal of its faculty and mission. As part of this renewal, we seek applications for the Frank and Lillian Gilbreth Endowed Chaired and Tenured Full Professorship in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer. Building on the department’s impressive history and tradition, we seek faculty who are uncovering knowledge and creating solutions to important societal problems, collaborating across disciplines, and integrating their innovations into classrooms. We value applicants who are interested in the success of their students, their department, and their field, and whose research, teaching, and service complement and enhance one another. These faculty will push the Industrial and Systems Engineering discipline forward and will make it more diverse and inclusive. Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in a discipline related to Industrial or Systems Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to have an outstanding record of scholarship, educational leadership, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as national and international visibility. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an internationally recognized, interdisciplinary program with research and scholarship supported by external grants, to actively contribute to the core graduate and undergraduate teaching mission of ISE and the School, and engage in department, institute, and professional service activities. Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Specialist
As a Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Specialist, you will support families and youth in crisis by providing in-home services. You will assist families in implementing behavior management techniques and crisis de-escalation skills with their children and support children in appropriately communicating their needs.You will report to the Senior Director HBCI and work onsite with community-based travel required.
The HBCI team provides short-term (up to 6 weeks), intensive intervention to youth and families who are in crisis. We work with parents and caregivers to help them help their children. The short-term format means the work is fast-paced and outcome oriented, which means that the HBCI team will produce meaningful outcomes in a short period of time.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to the needs of families in crisis and deliver crisis intervention services in home-based environment with flexible scheduling.
- Promote safety of the child, family, and community in the delivery of crisis intervention services.
- Tailor services and flexibly schedule sessions based on family member’s needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessment of family strengths, values, skills, problems, needs, barriers to goal attainment and collaborate in goal setting and service planning.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to help family members acquire, maintain and generalize skills.
- Advocate for and provide concrete services and supports and teach family members to meet their concrete needs.
- Collaborate and advocate with formal and information community resources and systems that impact family while teaching family members to advocate for themselves. Prepare family for transition and service closure.
- Provide consultation to intra-agency service providers and to community service providers. Maintain appropriate liaisons and relationships with external and internal providers, particularly as this relates to County Mental Health Departments working with the HBCI. Fulfill all program-reporting requirements.
- Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement process and provide leadership in the collection of data and the formulation of recommendations and conclusions as assigned.
Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, or Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling and at least two years of experience in a home-based and/or crisis intervention services program.
- LMSW or LMHC licensure preferred.
- Experience in the Homebuilder model of crisis intervention is preferred.
- Must have a valid NYS driver's license.
