POSITION OVERVIEW
DIFFERENTIAL PAY
(10%) is paid 5:00 pm - 7:30 am. Monday thru Friday
(20%) is paid 12:00 am - 12:00 am. Saturday and Sunday
$1,500 SIGN ON BONUS
As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
1:1 Residential Counselor
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Seek and obtain training in any particular area specific to the youth who requires 1:1care.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC1
You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.
Display basic competency in TCI techniques.
Follow outlined program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.
Maintain respectful and appropriate communication with internal and external customers,including county workers, medical staff, parents etc.
Complete and maintain documentation to meet programmatic and regulatory standards.
Transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
RC2
All of the above plus the following:
You will facilitate groups/coached visitation, understanding and applying curriculum and appropriate practice models, i.e. DBT, SAY, etc.
Take on specific leadership responsibilities for dorm/cottage, including coordinating activities, participating in program-wide committee.
Must have the ability, skill, and knowledge to take a lead role in a team.
Form positive relationships with more challenging youth and families.

All of the above plus the following:
Display critical thinking and problem solving skills related to residential program needs.
Display good judgment and decision making related to all program routines, therapeutic plans of youth, and program rules and protocols.
Lead, delegate, and plan work for other team members.
Requirements and Education:
One weekend shift per week required
HS Diploma/GED required.
Experience working with emotionally disturbed population.
A valid, clean driver's license is required.
Must pass physical.
Must be able to complete TCI training.

Description
As a Director of Community Transition Time Program (CTTP), you will oversee a new model of care for youth to keep them out of unnecessary hospital settings. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team that provides services and support to adolescent youth and their families in the community and short-term residential settings. Responsibilities will include the management of the program, staff matters, client referrals, client treatment, financial viability, marketing of the program, interfacing with referral sources including local hospitals and county mental health providers, program manual, and program systems. You will report to the Senior Director of Residential Services and will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on recruiting, hiring and onboarding team members.
- Provide overall supervision to the team.
- Monitor caseload size and coordinates program intakes and discharges.
- Provide training and supervision for the Staff.
- Oversee a short-term eight bed residential unit that provides 24/7 care.
- Make rotating on-call schedule for after hours and weekend coverage by team members.
- Become subject matter expert in this new program model and participate in collaborative meetings with the state and other agencies.
- Educate the community about Community Transition Time and Intervention program, outcomes, theoretical background.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with other agencies, schools, colleges, institutions, hospitals, primary care providers, housing authorities, and law enforcement agencies to help meet the needs of this population through timely referrals, connections and warm handoffs.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement classroom instructional plans for students and support students success in academic and behavioral goals. You will report to the Assistant Principle and you will work onsite.

Description
The Residential Supervisor in charge will ensure the security of campus and community residential locations, including working with staff, maintaining communication with resident’s family and guardians, and overseeing resident transportation needs. You will report to the Online/Oncall supervisor and you will work on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure implementation of all applicable emergency systems, agency policies, and program procedures.
- Respond to crises within assigned Residential Program/locations. Ensure response follows agency policy and protocol appropriate to the situation, and ensure that the individual clients behavior management plan(s) are followed. Ensure any physical intervention is conducted following TCI standards. Ensure completion of all forms and appropriate documentation of every restraint.
- Provide support to teams when asked for behavioral interventions and events. Will direct the team in absence of residential supervisor and will be a source of training , supporting and modeling for other staff.
- Ensure the security of campus and community locations, responding to any security concerns. Conduct random checks of assigned locations to ensure safety of residents.
- Be the primary person in charge of calling the police for any resident considered missing, completing or ensuring completion of the Missing Person Report form and canceling Missing Person Reports upon a residents return.
- Ensure contacts have been made with the residents family and guardian for all significant incidents.
- Maintain regular entries in the Online/On call log regarding all significant events that occur, and provide the leadership with specific additional information as. Ensure completion of documentation for all significant incidents.
- Ensure significant incidents are called into the Justice Center as applicable.
- Serve as the central person in charge of off campus trips. Approve and log all off-campus trips and assure such trips have proper staff coverage.
- Oversee and transport clients for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.
- Check and assure that all visitors have prior approval to be on the grounds.
- Be available to hear and document any neighbor concerns.
Requirements and Education:
- Requires an associate's degree;bachelor's degree and equivalent experience preferred.
- 3 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Drivers license is required.
- Must be able to pass the required physical.
- Must be able to complete and pass TCI training.

As a Clinician, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team with the underserved populations in our community by providing clinical counseling to individuals, families and couples in an outpatient mental health clinic licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH). You will report to the Director of the Behavioral Health Center. Sessions may be conducted in the office or via Tele-mental Health as clinically indicated. This an on site position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients aged birth to 65, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and individual and family therapy services to those assigned to caseload.
- Create initial treatment plans, subsequent treatment plan reviews, progress notes for each scheduled appointment, and other documentation/assessments as indicated.
- Collaborate with on-site prescriber, other medical and mental health providers, schools and any other community supports for client care.
- Attend Behavioral Health Center staff meeting twice a month.
- Attend and participate in Supervision; weekly, bi-weekly or monthly based on licensure level or individual needs.
- Provide referrals and linkages to community supports, resources, and services.

As a Children's Health Home Care Manager, you will engage youth and families through outreach activities until enrollment into the Children's Health Home program. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering welcomes applicants with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduates in the field of Civil Engineering. The CEE Department currently possesses expertise in the fields of geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water quality and hydrology. We are particularly interested in increasing our capacity in the field of Structural Engineering. The new hire will teach courses in the curriculum as appropriate, including core classes and upper-level courses such as the fundamental theory of structure, as well as electives. In addition, there is an expectation that all new hires in the Department will teach at least one course annually to non-engineers ideally as part of the College’s new Complex Questions/Global Challenges and Social Justice common curriculum. The new hire will also be heavily involved in the ABET accreditation process which includes opportunities for curriculum development and assessment.
The successful candidate will also have a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration. The CEE department has a close relationship with the Environmental Science, Policy, and Engineering Program. Position Purpose: Technical support for the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering. Maintain and upgrade test equipment, computer hardware and software, and electronics supplies for classrooms and teaching laboratories. Assist students and faculty with projects involving electronics and computer components and maintain a safe working environment for project work.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain test equipment in department classrooms and teaching laboratories.
Test equipment, includes: power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, soldering stations, and testing kits (multimeter and scope probes, cables, solderless breadboard).
Maintain computers (both hardware and software) in department classrooms and teaching laboratories. Software responsibilities include software updates, licenses, imaging/memory management, and connectivity with test equipment.
Maintain inventories of electrical and computer supplies. Electrical supplies include: resistors, capacitors, inductors, semiconductors, wire, breadboards, probe cables, and hand tools. Computer supplies include: USB cables, video cables, mice, and keyboards.
Provide support for student capstone and student/faculty research projects. Support includes purchasing components, addressing questions related to stock electronic components, and providing assistance with test equipment.
Ensure all safety standards and work practices (e.g. soldering) within the department classrooms are followed according to college policy and law. Assist in coordinating lab safety standards for ABET accreditation.
Qualifications:
Proficiency with electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.
Proficiency in soldering and desoldering electronic components, as well as soldering safety protocols.
Proficiency in computer maintenance and connectivity with laboratory instrumentation.
Experience with supporting laboratory safety standards.
Experience with the diagnosis and minor repair of electronic and computer equipment.
Minimum of two years of vocational/technical school or equivalent knowledge in electrical and computer engineering.
Experience with engineering software (e.g., circuit simulation and MATLAB) microcontrollers and embedded systems, and working in educational or research laboratory settings preferred.

This position is focused in the area of mechatronics with a specialty in robotics. We seek socio-cultural candidates whose research addresses and who can teach courses on: environmental anthropology, economic anthropology, science and technology studies, public health, and/or indigeneity. We are especially interested in candidates who can also offer courses on gender and/or religion (particularly Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism) and who could potentially develop an ethnographic field school. In terms of geographic expertise, preference will be given to candidates who work in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South, East, or Southeast Asia or amongst indigenous people of Oceania or the Americas, but we will also consider other areas not currently represented by faculty in the department. Candidates with Ph.D. in anthropology in hand and teaching experience are preferred, but ABD candidates, as well as candidates in closely related fields are welcome to apply. Event and Program Support: Attends events at the ice rink and other college facilities to assist in various duties for scheduled programming.
Collaboration: Partners with the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities to complete maintenance, organize and execute events within any of our athletic facilities, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of experience in grounds, custodial, and/or maintenance and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience.
