POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Residential Youth Counselor, you will provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and governing bodies' (DSS, OMH, JCAHO, etc.) requirements for elementary aged children.. You will work on-site on our Albany campus and will report to the Residential Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
1:1 Residential Counselor
Provide for the physical and psychological needs of clients, including physical safety, hygiene, clothing, food, cooking, medical care, and providing a reliable and nurturing environment.
You will follow an individual youth’s 1:1 expectations plan, ICMP, and any safety plans in place.
Engage the youth in activities and conversation that are age appropriate and at the appropriate developmental level.
Document in writing a summary of each shift.
Learn the history and specific issues associated with the youth who requires 1:1; will learn how to safely manage any crisis.
Transport 1:1 client for medical, mental health, and other essential needs.

You will must be able to work within trauma informed framework of program, including identifying and using coping/safety plans, maintaining consistency, providing regular routine, and controlling own response to youth.
Engage and form positive relationship with all youth served.
Complete all mandatory trainings according to programmatic guidelines.

Work as part of a team including colleague residential counselors, clinicians, on line oncall, supervisors, and other administrative and functional support staff.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Sidney Albert Training and Research Institute (SATRI) provides curriculum design, development and training to internal professionals as well as those individuals served by external contracts executed by the Institute. These contracts may be with various departments within the State of New York, School Districts, Human Service Agencies or community based entities. - Must have content knowledge, presentation skills, and knowledge sufficient to teach effectively on a variety of clinical subject areas, treatment and intervention, childhood development, child and adolescent behavioral disorders, management, supervision and leadership issues, and crisis and de-escalation techniques. Knowledge of OMH and OCFS Waiver preferred.
- Computer skills include PowerPoint, use of a virtual classroom, and various data management systems preferred.
- Teaching/training or public speaking experience required.

Lifeguard – Albany or Schenectady, NY
Starting rate is $20 per hour!Ideal seasonal position with flexible schedule from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. Daytime and early evening hours on weekdays and/or weekends.
As a Lifeguard, you will provide rescue and lifesaving services, teach water safety and swim instruction to children and adolescents in program during the summer months, and help maintain our pools for optimal health and safety. You will report to the Director of Therapeutic Recreation and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain order in the swimming pool area to prevent accidents
Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning, administering first aid
Inspect the swimming facilities at the beginning and end of each shift for cleanliness; monitor and record the chlorine content and pH level of the water
Provide students with ongoing swimming instruction based on ability level
Hold students and staff accountable to the rules of the pool area and report any concerns with adherence of these rules to a Residential Supervisor
Work in other areas of the recreational department during inclement weather
Requirements and Education:
Requires an Advance Life Saving certificate or equivalent (must be a certified Lifeguard)
Must be at least 18 years of age

As a Clinician, you will provide comprehensive clinical, case planning and family support services to county residents. As a Clinical site Supervisor in the Crisis Residence program, you will oversee day-to-day supervision and oversight of all staff to ensure management of the crisis line and onsite response is efficiently coordinated. You will report to the Director of Crisis Services and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day as well as regular individual supervision and oversight to clinicians
- Interview, hire, and coordinate the onboarding of new staff with the Director

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Skillbuilder, you will provide targeted skill training to help with independent living and social skills. Goals that the Skill Builder will work on could be Career Planning, Self-Care, Daily Living, Housing, and Money Management, including establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships, how to accept no as an answer, handling conflict with peers and authority figures, and using their coping skills when feeling dysregulated. You will report to the Program Coordinator and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- At a minimum, 50% of the work week is spent face-to-face with clients to provide services designated in the Treatment Plan.
- Provide services based on the youth's needs and preferences as identified in the Treatment Plan.
- Work with treatment team members to identify goals and objectives of treatment, including youth, families, school, and counselors.
- Complete all required documentation and submit it to the Supervisor within the required timeframes.
- Ability to work with diverse consumers who have mental health challenges and may be developmentally delayed. Understand their independent living needs to work with the case manager to find resources in the community for educational and vocational skills and programming for discharge.

As a School Guidance Counselor, you will provide a comprehensive school guidance program to students with special needs. You will provide counseling support to all students regarding their graduation requirements and transition plans. You will oversee all aspects of State Mandated testing system, and the development and maintenance of all student scheduling to ensure that they are receiving the services mandated in the individual education plan. You will oversee the report card process ensuring that credits are assigned in accordance with all state education regulations. You will report to the Principal and will work onsite.

Residential Assistant Supervisor -
Albany residential has an immediate need for a full-time ResidentialAssistant Supervisor. This position is responsible for supervising direct care staff as well as working as part of the direct care team who collectively provide daily therapeutic care and programming according to agency policy and regulation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising program activity as related to client treatment plans
