BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Maintains district owned vehicles in good running order. Responsible for general service and maintenance of all buses and other school owned vehicles. Provide safe, efficient transportation for students when requested to serve in the capacity of school bus driver.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

A. Service and maintain gasoline and diesel powered buses, automobiles, trucks, and other automotive equipment.

B. Diagnoses mechanical defects and carries out a preventative maintenance program.

C. Service and makes repairs on equipment such as major and minor repairs of brakes, air compressors, fuel systems, ignitions, valves, etc.

D. Establish preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles and complete required tasks.

E. Maintain an inventory of replacement parts and fluids.

F. Diagnoses and evaluates welding needs both arc and gas.

G. Serve as a substitute bus driver.

H. Assists with snow removal.

I. Conduct safety inspection on school buses as required.

J. Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.

K. Responsible for energy conservation practices throughout the district.

L. Monitor and comply with federal, state and district policies and procedures.

M. Performs other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join H-S Precision, performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to maintain and repair the building, machine systems and structures. This will include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC units, as well as, maintenance on hydraulic, compressed air and electrical systems. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality, paying attention to small details, schedules and departmental requests.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of building systems and fixtures
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing and electrical issues
• Change HVAC filters and perform minor maintenance on HVAC units
• Checking and adjusting plumbing fixtures
• Identify and report maintenance issues; request outside services as necessary
• Perform basic building repairs and modifications
• Regularly inspect and service machinery and equipment
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, according to set schedules and machine requirements
• Maintain a clearly organized workspace and maintenance-specific inventory
• Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency; complete tasks in a timely manner
• Coordinate with outside contractors for complex repairs and maintenance

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior facilities maintenance experience required (3-5 years preferred). Knowledge of building codes & safety procedures
• Lifting 50 pounds unaided; must be able to bend, crouch and lift items overhead
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including climbing ladders and stairs, working in inclement weather, operating a forklift and using hand and power tools
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other building systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and machine manuals
• Exceptional organizational & communication (verbal & written) skills
• Detail-oriented & multitasking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail with ability to follow established maintenance and safety procedures

• Ability to work with other team members, team leaders, management and outside vendors

Shift: 1st – 6:30 am – 3 pm

Starting Wage: $16-25/hour DOE

Role and Responsibilities:

Operate machines and machine parts according to quality and production specifications. Perform other duties as required by supervisor, including, but not limited to, deburring, material preparation, and inspection.

• Set up and operate convention lathes and/or milling machines, as well as CNC lathes and/or mills to meet production requirements.
• Read and understand job travelers and prints to ensure that parts are machined correctly.
• Identify and measure material to ensure correct material is used for each job.
• Use micrometers, calipers and other tools to ensure correct machining of all parts.
• Operate machines for drilling, cutting and machining processes.
• Repetitious or production runs and/or parts changing as necessary.
• Use safety equipment as required.
• Perform daily maintenance of work area and department to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or Management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 50+ pound lifting requirement. Minimum 8 hours per day standing.
• 4+ years of education and/or experience with CNC mills or lathes (Fadal, Mazak controls).
• 4+ years of education and/or experience in general machining, conventional mills and lathes.
• Responsible for providing necessary machining tools (micrometers, calipers and other as required).
• Attention to detail with ability to follow established procedures and instructions.
• Self-starter, ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Good organizational skills, legible writing.
• Ability to work with other team members, supervisor and management.

Positions may Include: Laminating, Cleaning Molds, Sandblasting, Grinding, Finishing

Shift: 1st – 6:30 am – 3 pm 

*This is a full time position, but Part Time may be considered for someone with the right skill set and experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Build synthetic stocks to customer and production specifications.
• Work with fiberglass, Kevlar and carbon fiber to properly laminate each stock.
• Prep material for production.
• Open molds at appropriate intervals and remove stock from mold; clean or scrape molds and ensure molds are properly prepared to return to production.
• Sandblast stocks or other parts as required for production.
• Sand and repair imperfections in synthetic stocks; work with bondo, spot putty and other materials to properly finish each stock to production specifications.
• Use safety equipment as required.
• Perform daily maintenance of work area and department to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or Management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 20-75+ pound lifting requirement, depending upon the position.
• Minimum 8 hours per day standing.
• Warm/Hot working conditions.
• Handling chemicals, along with fiberglass and other irritating materials (PPE provided)
• Fast-paced production process, including loud tools and machinery.
• Dusty working conditions from sanding.
• Repetitive movements, vibrating hand tools.
• Respirators may be required for certain positions (PFT & Fit test required).
• Ability to follow established procedures and instructions.
• Ability to stay focused and on-task despite repetitious work.
• Attention to detail with ability to follow established procedures and instructions.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with hand tools helpful.
• Ability to work with other team members, team leaders and management.
