With a 40-year background in commercial roofing, the owner, Matthew Egger, moved into manufacturing quality steel products. With three sons, and a wife all in the business he founded ACME Sheet Metals, Inc in 2019. Opening in Rapid City and quickly expanding into a second location in Casper, WY.  

Our growing company is looking to fill the role of CDL driver/deliveries. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. We will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have drive and talent. 

Responsibilities for delivery: 

• Short-distance driving - Typically home most evenings 

• Long-distance driving – Will have some longer trips based on need 

• Communicating and coordinating with assistant manager 

• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws 

• Maintaining a detailed log (ELD) of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations 

• Meeting delivery schedules 

• Complying with truck driving rules and regulations 

• Loading and unloading semi, straight truck, flatbed with forklifts and pallet jacks 

• Interacting with customers in a professional manner 

• Verifying loads for accuracy and recording cargo deliveries 

• Reporting defects, accidents and violations 

• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.) 

• Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports 

• Be able to work the typical 40-hour work week 

Qualifications for delivery: 

• Must possess a current Class A CDL license (no hazardous materials endorsement needed) 

• Presentable appearance and a professional demeanor 

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds 

• Must have experience in running a moffit and a forklift or the ability to learn 

Requirements for delivery: 

• Must be punctual and dependable  

• There are times when you may be waiting for deliveries to be produced. When not loading/delivering you will help in production.
