The Medical Air Rescue Company (MARC) Paramedic is responsible for the safety of patients prior to and during transport to healthcare facilities. This includes provision of basic, advanced, and critical care life support measures required to stabilize critically ill or injured patients. The ability to establish positive interpersonal and professional relationships is essential. The Flight Paramedic reports to the Base Leadership.
While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to perform medical procedures and assessments, reach with hands and arms, speak, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is required to stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. The employee is required to maintain adequate physical conditioning to be able to perform job duties. Job duties are often performed at high stress levels requiring employee to function effectively and independently while maintaining good working relationships with partners, patients, and customers. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 80 pounds or more. All licenses and certifications are reimbursed to the employee upon successful completion.
Current state paramedic licenses required where base is located. Surrounding states required within 30 days.
BLS, ACLS, PALS. All required prior to employment and must be kept current during employment. Provided by company.
Trauma certification of PHTLS, EPC, AMLS, and NRP within one year of hire. Provided by company.
FOAMfrat online education provided by company.
Flight bonuses paid per flight.
FP-C required within two years of hire.

4000 hours verified of ALS experience within the last three years required pre-hire.
Advanced airway training preferred.
(ETT, LMA, surgical/needle cricothyrotomy)
