We are looking for a medical assistant with experience working in a healthcare setting to join our team. This position will assist our General Surgeons in their busy office practice including but not limited to rooming patients, taking vitals, returning patient phone calls, scheduling surgeries, assisting with form completion and insurance authorizations. Knowledge of computers is a must because we use an electronic medical record and accurate data entry is an expectation for this position. This position is full-time Monday-Friday (38 hours/week) with medical and dental benefits, pension after one year and no working nights, major holidays or weekends. Medical experience/knowledge is preferred.

DESCRIPTION OF BASIC FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but is not limited to):

• Plan, organize, and direct the district’s food service program in compliance with federal; and state regulations and district policies
• Order food, supplies, and equipment
• Observe and maintain procedures for proper delivery and storage of food and supplies
• Request commodity foods as necessary
• Coordinate and review food service operations
• Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and standards and observe safety and sanitation procedures
• Prepare menus
• Serve meals to students, staff, and visitors
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils; scrub counters and tables; mop floors and dispose of wastes safely and appropriately
• Maintain and operate workstations in a safe and sanitary manner
• Receive and provide information to students and parents as necessary
• Attend training programs, workshops and meetings in line with service operations
• Observe standards for quantity food purchases
• Monitor equipment for maintenance and repair
• Maintain a variety of logs, records, and/or files for food services including forms and procedures for record keeping
• Submit reports to the Office of Public Instruction
• Operate the meal accounting program.
• Provide notices to families for meal balances, free and reduced meal qualification, and general accounting.
• Coordinate operations of lunch program with office staff
• Report to school board trustees as needed
• Perform related additional duties as required

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Ophthalmic Technician. This position requires a nurse to doctor mentality to prepare the patient to see the doctor. The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for performing patient work-ups, visual field testing, OCT testing, visual acuity testing, tonometry, pachymetry, corneal topography, fundus photography, scribing for the physician, and assisting in minor surgeries such as LASIK.

Qualifications

A service technician performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned material handling equipment.
