Austin Engineering Co, Inc. is a leading site development construction contractor located in Lakeway, Texas specializing in underground utilities, pump stations, lift stations/force mains, and infrastructure projects. We handle heavy/highway construction, subdivision development, commercial sitework, wastewater plant work, and water intake structures. Our projects range across federal, state (TxDot Qualified), county, MUD, and private sector entities.

Role Description

This is an entry level position with a focus on training in order to move up within the Accounting Department. We are only accepting applicants that currently reside in the Central Texas area.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Accountant located in Lakeway, TX. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts payable invoices, preparing weekly equipment tracking and billing reports in excel, and reconciling statements. Additional tasks include overall support of the accounting department.

Qualifications

A solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations

Experience with accounts payable management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

Experience in the construction industry is a plus
