As an Employment Counselor, you will provide employment services to assist individuals searching for career opportunities or may be looking for support in their current roles. You will report to the Supervisor of Prevocational and Senior Services and you will work on-site with traveling required.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and customization of resumes, cover letters, and thank you letters.
- Work with participants to develop and hone interviewing skills (including disclosing disabilities and discussing accommodations if applicable) with employers.
- Assess and assist participants with any needed job-seeking skills including locating employment opportunities and supporting them to complete job applications. When possible, you will provide individuals with interview and general presentation feedback gained from prospective employers. Offer skills development coaching as needed.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to participants with a focus on aligning interests, strengths, and capabilities with employment opportunities.

Description
Are you a direct service provider looking to advance into the next chapter of your career by starting a training position and having less day-to-day client interaction?
Northern Rivers Family of Services seeks a Trainer at our Sidney Albert Training and Research Institute (SATRI). SATRI provides curriculum design, development and training to internal professionals as well as those individuals served by external contracts executed by the Institute. These contracts may be with various departments within the State of New York, local school districts, human service agencies or community-based entities.
As a Trainer, you will fulfill training for external training contracts, internal training needs and manage the scheduling and provision of mandated internal offerings such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and 1st aid/CPR.
This position has a hybrid schedule with at least two days a week onsite.
Responsibilities:
Deliver curricula including supporting educational materials as assigned.
Design, develop, research, and write curricula.
Implement adult professional training programs.
Prepare all written reports, maintain records, and issue certificates of attendance.
Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with Agency colleagues and engage in diverse, constructive communication both within and outside of the Agency.
Possess the content knowledge and presentation skills to teach on a variety of subject areas including but not limited to childhood development, child and adolescent behavioral disorders, trauma informed care, leadership and crisis and de-escalation techniques.
Assume training responsibilities as assigned.
Participate in annual program performance evaluation.
Requirements and Education:
Requires a Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s degree with 2 years' experience OR 7+ years' experience in one or more direct service areas.
Knowledge of NYS Children's Medicaid services preferred.
Proficient computer skills including PowerPoint, use of a virtual classroom, and various data management systems preferred.
Teaching, training or public speaking experience preferred.
Mental health and child welfare experience preferred.
CPR certification is preferred but will certify the right candidate.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel as required.

Clinician, School Based - Days
MSW/MHC's with a Limited Permit are eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus!
Licensed Social Workers are eligible for a $7,500 signing bonus!
As a Clinician, you will work collaboratively with the school district and as part of an interdisciplinary team with identified students, by providing clinical counseling to the youth and their family in an outpatient mental health clinic, licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), imbedded within the School Building. - Create initial treatment plans, subsequent treatment plan reviews, progress notes for each scheduled appointment, and other documentation and assessments as indicated.
- Collaborate with the associated clinic prescriber, other medical and mental health providers, school staff and any other community supports for client care.
- Attend school-based Behavioral Health Center staff meeting once a month.
- Attend and participate in supervision; weekly, bi-weekly or monthly based on licensure level or individual needs.
- Provide referrals and linkages to community supports, resources, and services.
