Civil Engineering firm located in Lafayette, Louisiana seeking honest and reliable person for the position of Construction Inspector. 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent - reading, writing and math skills are a must
• Must be able to perform moderate physical activity
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively using telephone, written correspondence and electronic communications such as email 
• Required to provide their own transportation to and from job sites
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience preferred but not necessary
• LCG Certification or a willingness to become certified is required

Responsibilities:

• Observe and report on progress and compliance of Clients’ construction contractors’ work in order to ensure that construction work is done in accordance with the Engineer’s Plans and Specifications
• Prepare and maintain project reports, quantity and costs tabulations, weather reports and workday reports
• Review of partial payment requests
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with the contractor
