Job Summary

The Operations Coordinator manages space and equipment scheduling to effectively allocate available resources in the Rensselaer Union, Playhouse, and related Union facilities. Utilizing the Event Management Software (EMS), the coordinator will prioritize the needs of groups competing for space and equipment and help to resolve conflicting scheduling needs within established guidelines. They will also manage building, key and equipment inventory including motor vehicles. Additionally, the coordinator will provide club, building operations, and project reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School/Equivalent
  • 5 or more years related experience 
  • A relevant combination of training, education, or experience may be considered. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event management systems 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient ability in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to learn and become proficient with event management system
• Ability to perform transactional financial functions
• Ability to compose routine correspondence and reports
• Requires good problem solving skills involving multiple variables in standard situations
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• Ability and knowledge of field-specific operational/ administrative functions
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population

Starting Salary/Rate

Expected hiring range: $20.00 - $23.00
