Lafayette, Louisiana consulting engineering and surveying firm is seeking Louisiana-licensed professional land surveyor or land surveyor intern to join our team.  Experience with GPS, Robotic Total Station and other surveying tools, experience with Autocad software, or motivation to obtain classwork and field work towards Professional Land Surveyor licensure desired.  Typical work includes topographic surveying, property boundary surveying, plat preparation, and courthouse research of property records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish surveying requirements applicable to project in conjunction with project manager
• Schedule management
• Demonstrated ability to lead survey crew, operate GPS, robotic total station, data collectors, and other surveying equipment is required.
• Surveying in coordination with engineering and drafting
• Support the Project Manager as directed

Requirements:

• Four-year degree with class work required for land surveying license or obtainable within one year of employment.
• PLS or LSI license preferred
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of survey equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to operate GPS, conventional total station, data collectors, and other surveying equipment is required.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
