This is a single vacancy position and may be filled as an Associate Engineer or Senior Engineer depending on the skills and experience of the ideal candidate.

Are you Civil Engineer that has always wanted to work and live in beautiful Lake Tahoe? This could be your ideal job! The South Tahoe Public Utility District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior or Associate Engineer. Under direction, this position will perform planning, design, construction and project management engineering work for the complex multi-disciplinary public works projects in the District's water and wastewater facilities.
In this position you may provide technical and administrative leadership with staff and other stakeholders to develop and achieve the District's goals; develop, manage and implement project budgets and schedules; manage the construction inspection services program and collaborate and manage a variety of consultants as necesary. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can interact professionally with both District staff and consultants; a skilled professional who has technical knowledge in the water, wastewater and recycled water systems; a team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment and a multi-tasker skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Requires a civil or environmental degree from an ABET accredited four year college or univeristy.
- Senior Engineer requires six years of increasingly responsible professional civil/environmental engineering experience with an emphasis in water, wastewater and recycled water systems.
- Associate Engineer requires four years of the same experience as listed above.
