Paint Removal Technician

Technician will be required to wear disposable suit and respiratory protective equipment to use specialized equipment to remove coating/ paint.

Mandatory Requirements (please read carefully):

  • No criminal record (no exceptions)

  • 5+ years of Canadian residency & ability to work in Canada (mandatory)

  • Willingness to complete security screening process including fingerprinting (mandatory)

  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Management Information System) and Working At Heights certification OR willingness to complete training with our company (mandatory)

  • Lead/asbestos awareness training certificate

  • Able to lift 20 lbs, move, bend, crouch, kneel, squat.

  • Ability to work a regular shift from 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday and occasional shifts (<10%) nights or on weekends when required.

  • Ability to wear breathing respirator, and other safety equipment for performing some tasks. All applicants must be clean shaven to cover nose and mouth safely. (no exceptions, when required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning, Scrubbing, Vacuuming, Wiping, Polishing, Mopping, Brooming

  • Applying treatments, removing and applying coatings

  • Complete daily safety paperwork

  • Work safely and follow company safety policies

  • Perform daily, periodic and specialty cleaning

  • Move supplies by hand, hand cart within work location

  • Pack orders of consumables and equipment

  • Change work plants to accommodate urgent requests

  • Complete paperwork as required

Safety Equipment Requirements:

  • Own steel toed boots

  • Reflective Vest (provided)

  • Disposable/Reusable Gloves (provided)

  • Protective Glasses (provided)

  • Hard Hat (provided)

  • Fall Arrest Harness when required (provided)

  • Disposable/Reusable Breathing Mask when required (provided)

  • Disposable/Reusable Coveralls when required (provided)
