Veterinary Customer Service Representative
We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic customer service representative to join our team. As the liaison between our clients and veterinarians, we are looking for a personable and highly efficient person help us deliver the best experience possible to our clients, while giving them the best chance to help their horse. Through these core values, we strive to provide the best care to the horse while strengthening the relationship between the client, horse and the veterinary practice team.
Receive all incoming calls, schedule appointments, determine the form of payment and take payments or deposits as appropriate, contact clients to remind them of upcoming appointments, accurately process payments of all forms, maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the waiting room and reception area, review upcoming scheduled appointments to confirm accuracy of information; update the existing file or collect necessary information to prepare a new file; use the computer software system to accurately and efficiently search for information, inform clients about current COVID protocols and maintain a professional appearance and a courteous attitude, ensuring a pleasant, respectful and productive doctor-staff and staff-staff relationship and other duties as asked/required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (required but not limited to):
While prior veterinary clinic experience and horse experience is ideal, it is not necessary.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, etc.)
Ability to work as a team and put team goals first
Ability to prioritize a high volume of work with a high level of productivity and accuracy is required
Ability to take direction and use independent judgment to coordinate the scheduling of multiple veterinarians and equipment in multiple locations at the hospital and in the field.

Dependable attendance is required.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Must be willing to work under pressure conditions.
This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and be at a computer for the majority of an 8-hour day.
Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directions.
Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone
