Assistant Director of Clinical Services
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide support to the Director of Clinical Services and oversight to Clinicians of the clinical model requirements within the UC program. This includes assisting in supervision of all therapists working within all NYC locations.
HOURS PER WEEK: Exempt
- Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Must be able to flex schedule to meet program needs.
Oversee treatment planning and delivery for program youth.
Facilitate weekly group counseling meetings.
Coordinate all clinical services for UC.
Train and supervise all Clinicians within the UC program.
Provide clinical guidance and support to team members.
Observe clinical individual sessions.
Provide lesson plans for clinical groups.
Provide feedback on Significant Incident Reports (SIR).
Arrange team schedules for clinical appointments.
Provide schedule for foster home visits.
Ensure patient centered and culturally sensitive practice.
Conduct mental health assessments for UC.
Provide ongoing individual and group counseling sessions.
Provide mental health crisis intervention.
Act as the clinical lead for weekly clinical staff meetings.
Participate in training of all Clinicians and their respective treatment teams to ensure they are versed in the clinical approaches for working with the UC and foster families.
Provide and coordinate all needed diagnostic services.
Development of programs to build up and support the therapeutic milieu.
Provide record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities (case documentation).
Master’s Degree in social work or related field. LMSW, LMHC preferred or eligible for limited permit.
2 years postgraduate direct service delivery experience.
Bi-lingual - English-Spanish required. All agency documents and records are in English, so English writing proficiency required. Position itself requires Spanish speaking, writing, and reading proficiency.
Supervisory experience required.
Ability to teach TST & other agency models - required.
Experience with a strength based, cognitive behavioral, and trauma sensitive approach to treating troubled youth preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills - required.
Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner.
Valid NYS Driver’s License Preferred.
Ability to travel to other agency locations as required.
