Construction Inspector/Resident Project Representative

Technical Resource Consultants, a growing, progressive construction project management firm located in northeast Ohio is seeking a Resident Project Representative/Inspector (RPR) for a large-scale municipal secondary wastewater treatment plant project located within the Mahoning Valley area. The assignment duration is expected to be approximately 12 months.

Duties of the RPR will include:

Interpret project drawings and specifications;

Observe, measure, and document on a daily basis work performed by a team of contractors and sub-contractors retained by the Owner;

Complete daily inspection report digitally in prescribed format in order to document the ongoing quality and quantity of work performed;

Review contractor submittals and related documents, and provide recommendations to the Project Engineer as to their compliance with approved project drawings and specifications;

Review contractor change order requests and schedules, and provide recommendations to Project Manager.

Coordinate the scheduling of project progress and safety meetings, and record/distribute meeting minutes to all involved parties;

Maintain an ongoing log of all documents and correspondence related to the project;

Other duties as assigned.

Desirable qualifications of the RPR:

At least 10 years of relevant experience in the engineering/construction industry, with at least 5 years related to wastewater treatment plant construction/operation.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, or related fields of study.

The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to a multitude of project stakeholders.

Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze large amounts of data in order to arrive at logical recommendations/solutions.

Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
