RN (Community Health Nurse)

The Community Health Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) position.  It is an integral part of the primary care team at the Community Health Centers of Lane County.  This position’s duties include but are not limited to: triaging patients, conducting Nurse-Only visits, assisting providers as necessary, training others, monitoring vaccines.

The Community Health Centers have been providing quality primary care and behavioral health services to the citizens of Lane County since 2004. We provide a broad array of services to over 18,000 adults and children annually in an outpatient setting.  The CHC is the primary source for uninsured and underinsured. Our clinics are Federally Qualified Centers whose mission is to serve the community by offering excellent care and eliminating barriers to healthcare.  Our staff must show dedication to providing care with compassion and willingness to work with a diverse population.

 

Compensation/Benefits:

  • CHN 1 $24.35 – $33.76 / hour 
  • CHN 2 $28.22 -  $39.15 / hour

Education Information:

CHN 1: Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.  College-level coursework in the social sciences, and additional nurse training within a community or public health curriculum desirable.

CHN 2:  Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience Information:

Nursing experience in public health or community health care services desirable

Special Requirements:

  • Possession of a current State of Oregon Registered Nurse license at time of appointment.
  • CPR/BLS by time of hire

  • Immunization records and TB test within 10 days of hire
