JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Supervisor is responsible for supporting customer and production needs by arranging conformance testing/quality inspection resources and engaging in day-to-day quality and production support tasks. The Quality Supervisor is also responsible for the assessment, training, oversight, mentoring, evaluation and discipline of a team of Quality Technicians as they perform their responsibilities related to inspection and testing of materials and product for distribution to Indium customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Plan and schedule activities within area of supervision in collaboration with other departments
• Direct the activities and ensure effective operation of quality-related activities
• Maintain functional knowledge of processes within area of supervision and coordinate resources to ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with quality requirements
• Actively participate in problem solving activities and identification of corrective actions
• Observe, monitor and ensure compliance with all safety requirements and practices, including taking action to stop production if safety is compromised
• Interact effectively with Indium colleagues, suppliers, customers, and auditors
• Access computer systems to input, review and audit data and/or records
• Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills to hire, promote, discipline, transfer, and terminate Quality Technicians
• Assess Quality Technician abilities, ensure appropriate training, determine competency, maintain training records and monitor development
• Uphold all policies and procedures and resolve conflict
• Review and approve time management records
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets containing operational data and be well-versed in interpreting and presenting key performance metrics based on this data
• Uphold and promote the standards of Indium’s quality management system, including following procedures and work instructions, and recommending improvements
• Attend training as needed or assigned
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years related work experience
• Demonstrated positive mentoring and leadership qualities
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to objectively assess performance of team members
• Knowledge of quality standards and statistical concepts

1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$20.00 per hour - $32.75 per hour
($41,500 - $68,000 annually)
