JOB SUMMARY: The Engineering Technician III is responsible for providing hands on technical support to the engineering, technology and/or systems engineering functions. Support may be required during the design, development, assembly and test phases of complex process equipment, instrumentation, tooling, etc. The Engineering Technician III assignments are complex and numerous with minimal technical oversight and direction. The duties and responsibilities of this role may overlap with other engineering positions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
- Support engineering staff during the planning, development, assembly, test and qualification of various equipment, instrumentation, tooling, etc. required for complex process systems
- Prepare highly complex models, assembly drawings, equipment/floor layouts, specifications, training documentation, process instructions and procedures, etc. using CAD and other design/office applications.
- Utilize a wide variety of complex test equipment, gauges and other measurement equipment to evaluate and document the performance of components, sub-assemblies and complex process systems.
- Gather, formalize and present data and other input in support of Return on Investment (ROI) cost analysis, process efficiency and improvement, capability and tolerancing, etc. using standard software packages such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Provide hands-on assembly, troubleshooting and repair of complex components, sub-assemblies and final systems per formalized drawings, sketches and verbal and/or written instructions
- Design and fabricate fixtures, test and prototype systems using standard machining methods, additive manufacturing and other fabrication technologies. End items may be deployed in a manufacturing environment.
- Select, evaluate and procure essential materials in support of development and/or other activities. Create Purchase Specifications for a variety of materials.
- Function as an effective team member through collaboration, conflict resolution, encouragement, respectful interactions with co-workers, active listening etc.
- Understand fundamental engineering concepts and follow disciplined design/change methods *Coach, mentor and train less experienced peers.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree in technical field preferred
- 6 years of work related experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Highly developed skills working with, troubleshooting, assembling complex engineered mechanical/electrical/automated systems
- Demonstrated proficiency using design applications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) • Ability to work independently with minimal verbal or written instructions on multiple projects simultaneously
- Communicates in a clear, organized and professional manner in both verbal and written forms including the ability to present to small/medium groups
- Self-starter with a high degree of energy and drive • Ability to teach and mentor

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of a manufacturing facility, grounds, and equipment at the facility and for performing a variety of skilled work including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work; HVAC maintenance; installing and/or removing equipment; documenting and performing preventative maintenance and repairs; maintaining spare parts; and interfacing with outside contractors including scheduling and planning.

• Maintain production equipment including preparing and executing a Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule
• Maintain facility support equipment including scheduling contractors as required for PM and/or equipment installation or replacement
• Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
• Perform emergency repairs as required to keep the facility and production processes operating
• Respond to being called in for emergency repairs with little, or no, notice
• Maintain spare parts stock supply and maintain general maintenance equipment supplies
• Work with facility management or their designee on facility and grounds planning activities
• Investigate equipment failures to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations
• Perform job duties in conjunction with all established safety procedures and adhere to Lock Out/Tag Out requirements when working on any energized equipment
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• General/Advanced knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC trades
• 10 years related work experience
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Requirements
1. Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering or Sciences, Occupational and Public Health or a related field.
2. 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in occupational health and safety in a manufacturing environment. The required experience must include maintaining compliance with EHS policies and programs and regulatory requirements, evaluating effectiveness of EHS policies and programs, recommending and overseeing improvements to EHS programs and preparing EHS-related findings and reports. Experience can be gained while pursuing degree.
3. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Work Location: Utica, NY.
Hours: 40 per week – Monday through Friday.
Salary: $82,000
