Account Payable/Accounts Receivable (Full time or Part Time)

Albany Management has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable candidate.

Applicants must be team-oriented, organized and focused. Attention to details is a must. This is a professional work environment in a continuously growing organization! We are looking for someone to join our fast paced department who is accurate and dependable with solid accounting skills.

Responsibilities Include:

Accounts Payable:

  • Ensure invoices are approved and coded to conform to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
  • Handle all vendor correspondence via phone or email; investigate and resolve problems associated with vendors.
  • Prepare batch check and ACH runs.
  • Receive, research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
  • File, maintain, and distribute accounting documents, records and reports as required.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the accounting department.

Accounts Receivable

  • Manage incoming payments and properly record them in the system to conform to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.
  • Receive, research and resolve a variety of internal inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
  • Update client account information as needed.
  • Prepare reports as requested.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the accounting department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-6 years accounts payable / receivable experience
  • 10-key by touch
  • Sage/Timberline 300CRE experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Open to change and willing to learn new skills
  • Ability to follow up on pending issues
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Full time hours are Monday through Friday 8:15 – 5:00.
