Job Summary | The School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is pleased to invite applications for part time and/or fixed term Adjunct and Lecturer openings in several areas. These appointments may be made for one to three years, and are renewable, contingent upon available funding, enrollment, satisfactory performance, and the business needs of the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. Job Summary | • This is a live-in position with Rensselaer provided housing. The Assistant Dean for the Fraternity & Sorority Commons will assist the Associate Dean for Fraternity & Sorority Commons (FSC) in creating and sustaining the vision for the fraternity and sorority community as an integral part of the Student Experience. The Assistant Dean will have a shared responsibility in working with and supporting fraternity/sorority organizations in their living, meeting, and programming spaces. The Assistant Dean will assist the Associate Dean in the creation of sustainable, inclusive, and developmentally rich programs, and aid in matters related to community risk and liability management In addition, the incumbent will support the Associate Dean in all health and safety initiatives for both on/off campus properties. The Assistant Dean will work with community partners on diversity, equity and inclusion education, large scale community philanthropic initiatives, and work to support various programming and educational workshops. The Assistant Dean will also work to develop and implement effective public relations and marketing strategies to support community/council awareness. The Assistant Dean will support student staff, and provide advisement for up to two councils, and share coaching responsibilities for a grouping of designated organizations. |

Position Purpose:Plays an integral role as part of the team overseeing the College’s multicultural recruitment of a diverse and talented class. Represents Union College to a wide and diverse audience throughout the United States.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Recruitment:Represents the College at various on and off campus recruitment events, including college fairs, high school visits, open houses, and other special events to attract potential students. Coordinates, conducts, and contributes to the success of various student visit programs designed to recruit targeted applicant populations. Recruits, trains and manages student staff in support of on-campus programming to support the recruitment and enrollment of first generation and students from under-represented backgrounds.
Advisement: Advises prospective students, parents, and key stakeholders on admission criteria, program requirements, and transfer policies. Answers any questions prospective students may have. Serves as mentor to other admissions employees specifically surrounding recruitment strategies for under-represented students.
Outreach and Communication:Coordinates outreach activities & programs focused on under-represented students. Cultivates relationships, and manages ongoing strategic communication with high school counselors, independent educational consultants, parents, students (prospective and current), faculty, and alumni and manages assigned recruitment territories. Partners and liaises with key campus partners, including the intercultural affairs office to support the enrollment of multicultural populations.
Additional Tasks:Oversees student volunteers. Reviews and renders decisions as a member of the Committee of Admissions. Pitches-in to help colleagues when it is needed or when requested.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of Admissions experience and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Prior experience working in a small, selective, liberal arts setting is preferred.
Ability and willingness to engage in out-of-town travel as well as evening and weekend commitments.
Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills as well as confidence and clarity in public speaking.
Facility with Microsoft Suite, Google Docs, Excel, PowerPoint and related database and word processing applications.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Administration: Manages video preparation, filming, editing and uploading for games and practices. Coordinates all team meals. Assists Administrative Assistant with all office tasks. Partners with College Relations to build relationships and connection efforts with alumni. Assists in organizing team community service plan.
Recruiting: Assists in recruiting of prospective student-athletes, including management of recruiting data and information via ARMS software.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will coordinate appropriate medical care, dental care, and mental health services nursing care/services to a youth and adolescent population with emotional, behavioral and physical needs. You will ensure that medical treatment services meet the requirements of the regulating agency. You will report to a Registered Nurse and you will work onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Complete the nursing observations report findings to the registered nurse
- Review lab and test results, reporting critical values to RN and providers
- Medication management including ordering medications and obtaining prior authorizations
- Dispense medications
- Communicate with medical director/providers regarding observation in client’s health/behavior
- Provide client and family education regarding medications and treatments
- Collaborate with our staff regarding concerns and behaviors

- Recruitment: Identifies, evaluates, and recruits prospective student-athletes who align with the college’s values and academic standards, in close consultation with the head coach of swimming & diving. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of experience coaching club high school or collegiate diving and/or a combination of relevant education, training, certifications, and/or work experience. Master’s degree and diving at the collegiate level is preferred.
- Proficient in using trampoline and spotting rig for dive training.
- Skilled in teaching new dives and evaluating diving techniques.
- Experience in judging diving competitions, including dual meets and championship events.
- Experience in leading, motivating and providing guidance to high achieving and competitive student-athletes.
- Experience in recruiting and successfully identifying talented prospective student-athletes who can thrive in a rigorous academic environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to travel with the team, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is required.
