Full time Technical Support Position

Senior Computer Operator

This position provides help desk computer hardware and software support for 40 departments.  There is work with all Microsoft Products including Office 365 and Active Directory, an inventory system, and a tape management system.  Responsibilities also include setting up new user accounts for all organizational systems, assistance in running accounts payable and payroll checks, and working with a tax collection system.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered College or University with an Associate’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or closely related field and two years of experience installing software and troubleshooting both hardware and software; OR
  2. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four years of experience in installing software and troubleshooting both hardware and software; OR
  3. An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of A) and B).

Special Note: Because of the radical evolution of technology in this field, qualifying experience must have been gained within the last five years.
