Placement of a help wanted ad for any reason other than to advertise a bona fide employment position is prohibited. We will promptly investigate any report of inappropriate material. Ads in violation of our terms of use are subject to removal.

Get the Interview first.

In your resume, encourage employers to contact you about a great new job. Include experience, education and recent accomplishments. Keep the contact information in your account current and accurate so employers can reach you to schedule an interview. Avoid providing any personal information until you've been interviewed.

Keep personal information confidential.

Exclude your social security number and date of birth from any resume or cover letter. Most employers won't need this information until after you accept a job offer. Be careful if requests for this information are made prior to a face-to-face interview.

Speak up!

Contact GreatCarolinaJobs.com immediately if you believe a job posting is being used to gain access to personal information. Notify your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well, particularly if you've received an email asking you to supply or confirm passwords or personal information. This is often referred to as phishing and often involves a link to a bogus website and/or login screen.

Expect offers that seem too good to be true, to be neither good nor true. Report job offers involving payment processing, receiving and shipping merchandise (particularly overseas) or recruiting others for similar work.
