Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Universal Branch Associate. Primary Function: provide highest level member service through efficient, accurate transaction processing and applying a consultative needs-based sales approach, focused on establishing new member relationships, and deepening and retaining existing relationships, to cross sell HVCU products and services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process transactions. Educate members about the most convenient way to complete transaction processing in the branch and through other channels such as Internet Banking, the mobile app, audio response, the Contact Center, etc. Resolve member complaints and concerns quickly and efficiently and involve other functional areas as needed.
- Responsible for handling large volumes of cash and negotiable items. Assists management with daily operational tasks including operator, ATM, TellerInfinity and branch proof.
- Open new memberships, new accounts, new loans and process loan and account transactions. Refer members to branch business partners for consultation on Financial Services, Insurance Services, Real Estate and Business products as appropriate to meet member needs.
- Consistently follow all applicable policies and procedures. Utilize required programs and systems to assist with cross selling HVCU products and services.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of credit union products and services through ongoing training and education. Train new Universal Branch Associates as needed.
- Meet or exceed established individual and team goals through the consistent application of the HVCU Sales and Service model in all member interactions. Support the successful implementation of marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Qualifications

What You'll Do as the Compliance Manager (Responsibilities):
- Manage the Compliance Department, including scheduling, annual reviews, quarterly department meetings, hiring for department openings, and disciplinary action

General Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the Compliance Department in developing, administering and monitoring the Bank’s Compliance Management System to ensures the Bank’s compliance with all applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Compliance Management System (CMS)
- Assist with monitoring the Bank’s compliance with the applicable Federal and New York State regulations.
- Research and answer compliance related questions received from all department of the Bank.
- Assist with Administering the Bank’s a regulatory change management program. Assist department managers with regulatory compliance updates and changes that affect their department’s policies and procedures.
- Conduct compliance training as needed.
- Draft compliance policies and communicate those policies to the appropriate staff and management.
- Lead the quarterly Compliance Committee meetings. Prepare agenda and materials for the Committee meetings.
- Report quarterly to the Audit Committee.
- Maintain the bank’s complaint management program and identify potential patterns of possible UDAAP violations.

- Oversee the third party vendor due diligence program for all vendors.

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Universal Branch Associate. Primary Function: provide highest level member service through efficient, accurate transaction processing and applying a consultative needs-based sales approach, focused on establishing new member relationships, and deepening and retaining existing relationships, to cross sell HVCU products and services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process transactions. Educate members about the most convenient way to complete transaction processing in the branch and through other channels such as Internet Banking, the mobile app, audio response, the Contact Center, etc. Resolve member complaints and concerns quickly and efficiently and involve other functional areas as needed.
- Responsible for handling large volumes of cash and negotiable items. Assists management with daily operational tasks including operator, ATM, TellerInfinity and branch proof.

- Meet or exceed established individual and team goals through the consistent application of the HVCU Sales and Service model in all member interactions. Support the successful implementation of marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness.

We are seeking a full-time Loss Mitigation Representative (Collector) to join our team! Individual will need to exhibit superior listening and verbal communication skills, as well as problem solving skills, as a primary responsibility in this position is working with and counseling members dealing with difficult financial hardships, while maintaining compliance with the Loss Mitigation Department and federal guidelines and timelines. Candidates must also have a willingness to work additional or flexible hours as needed, including some evenings and Saturdays. Successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management skills, the ability to work independently, the ability to manage multiple workloads, and excellent follow up skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preserving the credit union's assets and mitigate losses by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments, and/or recovering collateral.
- Contacting delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current.
- Analyzing financial situation of delinquent borrowers, which includes making recommendations to liquidate collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful and offering solutions for hardship, repayment plans, deferments, rewrites, modifications, etc.
- Maintaining accurate and complete files, and document all activity, and performing skip tracing on accounts, including DMVs, credit reports, and Accurint reports.
Performance Measurements include:
- Assuring member service is top priority; treats members and other employees professionally with courtesy and respect, always handles situations with the strictest of confidentiality and upholds MHV Service Standards.
- Decreasing delinquency from the previous year according to the goal set forth in annual performance plan, while the quality of work is satisfactory, with few exceptions. Demonstrating excellent follow-up and organizational skills and occasionally identifying and resolving issues outside the normal scope of responsibility.
- Awareness of departmental goals and deadline requirements and attains as required.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the department policies and procedures, including knowledge of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and is knowledgeable of the collections and core systems, including having a thorough knowledge of bankruptcy, repossession, liquidation, charge off procedures; rarely needing to ask questions.
- Using sound judgment when making decisions, and keeping management informed of operational issues affecting the credit union's loss mitigation/collection activities.
- Acting as a good team player, which includes assisting other areas of the department as needed, occasionally make recommendations for operational improvements, and promotes a positive, productive and supportive work environment.

Knowledge and Skills:
